As for me, I have not seen a knockout artist more devastating than Julian "The Hawk" Jackson.

Pound per pound, he was the best KO puncher in my lifetime. Boy!, Can he hit!

Up there for sure.

Hearns carried his power over more weight divisions. Shavers is often named, but as far as HW go, I think Foreman is probably the hardest puncher.

He'd be one of the top hitters I've seen for sure. Anybody who can turn a fight on a dime, and win with 1 punch is a legitimately scary powerful dude. Jackson did it on multiple occasions.

He's right up there. The other tell tale sign is the effect on the opponent. More than a few had that 'dying fly' look about them after he connected, with either hand too.

The biggest hitter I’ve seen live was Wilfredo Gómez. Especially earlier in his career when he was a bantamweight..

Is there a harder hitting MW ever? Can’t think of anyone offfhand, the modern KO king GGG actually has relatively few 1 punch knockouts.

Who are the hardest hitting MW’s other than the Hawk?

shheeeit, Earnie Shavers was barely 6 ft tall and 200 lbs,
which would still have been on the smaller size as far as HW's of the 1970's.

Agree. Monster Inoue has to be up there too. And Olivares, Arguello and Saddler among the lighter weight fighters

GGG has/had that Foreman where the speed doesn't matter so much but there is strength behind it and sooner or later it will get you. But chances are he isn't going to knock someone out with one shot.
Jackson was explosive. He did need to beat you down, he just needed to connect once and walk off.

I'd put SRR above Jackson for power, Hearns as well.

Robinson had serious one punch power.

I'd add Fitzsimmons (obviously)
Ketchel
Graziano
Briscoe
Valdez (great puncher)
Mugabi?
Cyclone Hart?
And of course Langford who weighed 160 many times.

He's the very first boxer that comes to mind when talking p4p hardest hitter.

Some of his victims had delayed reaction after being hit and then seemed to move to the canvas in perpetual motion, most odd.

That knockout punch that Julian "The Hawk" Jackson gave to Herol Graham is one for the ages. What a shot!

And also the shot Jackson gave "Terrible" Terry Norris. Norris never asked for a rematch. I wondered why.

What I found scary about Jackson was he could knock people out with seemingly nothing punches, with either hand too.

Id vote hearns. He knocked out and hurt better fighters than Jackson.

PFP I think Felix Trinidad hit harder, along with Gerald McClellan, and maybe Nigel Benn in the modern era.

More recent times, Randall Bailey could really level fighters with one shot.
