Hot off the press: Froch offering to step in for Calzaghe?

Just read on boxing central that Froch has offered to step in.
No way Magee will take this fight if he turned down the non title option with calzaghe.

Froch-Magee would be more interesting than Magee-Calazage. I hope this happens but I can't see Magee risking a loss against an up and comer unfortunately

funny froch:
“I am not worried at the prospect of going into his backyard on short notice. I would knock him clean out with only twenty minutes preparation on the pads.

Great move you have to admire his gall that must take guts. Don't see Magee going for it as he dosen't seem to want the fight and he will not like fighting someone with a strange style with no preperation.
The Hennassy press relece is quite good, they always fill them full of quotes for the media.

I know a link has been placed but I had to quote a few Froch's supreme one-liners...
“As late replacements go, it doesn’t get any better than this. It’s better than the original fight, as I would knock out Calzaghe as well."
followed by
“I am by far the best super middleweight in the world..."
and my favourite...
“Thankfully, despite the fact that certain areas of the press don’t understand how good I am, a top fighter like de la Hoya likes what he sees.
It takes one to know one.” :)
I love this guy!

I haven't really been that impressed with Froch to date but I am willing to cheer him on in that he certainly seems to want competitive fights. Calzaghe's career his become so farcical that I would want Carl to smash him from pillar to post.

This is just bullshit from Carl. No way that fight would take place on such short notice and he knows it.

Yep,
Good PR but he knows Magee wouldn't even consider it.

Whenever a Calzaghe fight is coming up every fighter in Britain is probably fully fit and on standby ready to step in after the cancellation.
