I'd edge it for Bryan - although he came in pretty bad shape. I thought it was a decent win on paper (hardly great shakes, but at least Bryan had some Ws over named fighters).
Hardly worthy of a mandatory shot at the Unified champ.
Gorman could possibly beat Bryan - but he's beaten no one of note.

That's why I think the proper European belt is good. You can get good purses and fight tough blokes from the continent whilst building up the experience. It seems now promoters try to feed people piss easy opposition in order to steal a wbo ranking with some intercontinental trinket, then they sit on the ranking until a shot comes up

I think you’re being a little hard on Itauma, it’s only his first year. There were some ok guys there on paper and 2 went the full distance. He’s only 18 as well.

That is been always 'Allegedly's' formula. Unless he really had a hot shot on his hands ie Naz, Khan, Calzaghe and Hatton, but even with those guys, his match making was a blatant pi** take quite often, tbh.
True story - I remember sending Steve Holdsworth (true boxing guy and straight as a die) a text, when he was on Eurosport Live and said as much and he didn't read my quote out but did say, 'Yes, Naz from London. I couldn't agree more'. Cool moment, for me, anyways
Feck knows how many WBU, WBO title defences against....overmatched, poor, lighter, older fighters....and his attempts at hype, to this day, still make me cringe.
The again, he is a multi-millionaire so why should he listen to boxing fans? He didn't and never does.
So not surprised the way DD is going, which is shame, boxing wise, as the guy can fight and punch a bit but he'll never develop much.
Itauma will take a similar route but hopefully, he can pick up some skills and experience and then move on.

I think after Willie Lomond, they did do that with Khan, smaller, non punching fighters. He fought Kristjansen in a wbo eliminator whilst Thaxton fought Yuri Romanov on the same night for the European. Later, Khan, Murray and Thaxton were all mandatory for one another. FW tried the same formula. fornicate knows why they put him in with Breidis though. That was wild. Thing is though, Khan had some barn burners and was a game fella so I think it was more promoters. I had the misfortune of watching get destroyed in his last fight by Cassius Chaney. He was absolutely woeful.

the Gorman win has aged very badly in light of last fight and Fabio. It did look even at the time though, I remember enjoying the build up although neither are massive speakers.

Say what you want about Amir, he had balls and was fearless. His chin wasn't the best but he was as game as they come. Can't take that away from him.

Oh for sure. I think it was more management than him. He was game as you like. He took on Garcia and Canelo so that shows. He was never in crap fights. Even that Limond fight aged well as he went on to be British champ again and won a lot domestically. Khan was a honey badger. Definitely more Uncle Frank.
That said, Frank has gotten better the last few years.

Glad you asked. They're a mammal over in Africa quite similar in looks to our badgers. They're known for being really aggressive and fearless but they're not that big, so a lot of the time when they try and have a tear up with a lion or something, it doesn't go well but they give a good account of themselves hahaha
