Who gets to decide who goes in? No way does Hatton deserve to be inducted, that’s not a slur on Hatton as he was a good fighter in his own right but no way hall of fame worthy.

Tszyu was a good win but it was his last bout and definitely not the best version of him. He got Knocked out by the two all time greats he went in with (Pacquiao barely broke sweat). excellent news. Jackie Kallen too, she's very chatty on FB, comes across really well and had a brilliant career in the sport.

two weight world champ, beat Tszyu, Castillo, fought two ATGs, created a big movement, and remained a good person, a worthy entrant for me. Good no that man. Well yes his achievements probably get him in, but it's the hall of FAME.
Ricky was perhaps even THE goat for following and suchlike. Certainly one of them.

Sorry for mentioning it most years - but it is the INTERNATIONAL boxing hall of fame.
What about the hereos of Asia - always overlooked and, yep will say it again - Sven Ottke. He did loads for boxing in Germany and was a world champion for 10 years and not just a paper champion but a partially unified champion.
Jane Couch is surely there for what she did for Women's boxing in the UK, not Globally - I think Sven deserves it for similar reasons.
What about the hereos of Asia - always overlooked and, yep will say it again - Sven Ottke. He did loads for boxing in Germany and was a world champion for 10 years and not just a paper champion but a partially unified champion.

good on rick. he had a big win, was ranked high p4p for a bit, and had some major fights. cracked the us and became an international attraction. he boost the sport for sure. just this class alone, i think he's far more deserving than say firpo
i do have slight criticism of 'he only lost to atgs' though. after tszyu, there is quite a lack of depth in terms of the very good but not great fighters on his resume. it's not as if he beat everyone out there who wasnt an atg, and that he showed you someone needed to be atg level to beat him. this is where i think someone like tim bradley outperformed him with a deeper resume over top guys who werent necessarily greats.

Ottke - woeful boxer. Only ever fought outside Germany once....in Austria. Lost 6 fights, robbed a decision. Embarrassment to the sport, no heart to fight abroad, should have been ashamed with the decisions he got. Ironically born in Spandau, as Spandau Ballet had better voices than he did boxing ability. He did nothing for boxing in Germany other than cementing its reputation as a place you will never get a fair decision. 6 KOs, no power, no courage. 4 MD/SDs, all losses and at least 2 others. Corrupt boxer. Went to the Olympics 3 times and won f all. Should have stayed as a plasterer. that is a fair assessment, I did admire him for coming back from issues to fight Senchenko and was proud that Hatton did not get a dodgy win or moan about it after either. Totally deserved for Hatton, well pleased for him. Wonder if 30,000 will turn up to see him inducted? I've never been to Canastota but considering making a pilgrimage if Hatton is in. Has anyone on here been before?

Hatton deserves it, his impact on UK boxing was absolutely enormous, he was somewhat akin to McGuigan, he beat a past their best legend, and then came unstuck not too long after, albeit against two of the greatest fighters of the last 30 years.
People forget, a lot of the hall of fame is about historical impact, not just achievement.

Obviously against the best, his work was predictable, but I also think he was already on the slide by the time he got to Mayweather, and Pacquiao was all wrong for Hatton, too quick and huge power.
He made mayweather extremely uncomfortable, had there been a ref who had let him work, I think he would have pushed Mayweather close - those that did best against Mayweather were pressure fighters who could make him work up close, and that was Hatton's MO all over. quick feet, get close, and pile on pressure.

totally disagree. Mayweather was caught off balance for a second with a jab in the first round and that was the full extent of his uncomfortableness IMO. he went on to hit Hatton with about 30 counter hooks. 'extremely uncomfortable' might describe the Castillo fight but not the Hatton fight.
