And because you can't get on Sky as a main event unless it's for some belt.

Interesting question that. Can anyone tell me when was the last time Sky showed a live, boxing main event that WASN'T for some kind of title?

And when was the last one they showed LIVE, not on PPV, that was for one of the big three world titles?

I wondered that too, why fight for the belt if he isn't going to keep it? Maybe it was just to keep active. Skelton isn't exactly youth, is he?

But if this is true, it is good news. Does this mean Skelton will stop going on about fighting Klitschko now, and be a bit more serious?

Could be because Sky demanded his fight be for a title - what options would he have for the British? Danny Williams would be the only one they could properly hype up, but the timing wasn't quite right for this one yet. Ship in some shiter like Moli and you can pass it off as him 'progressing' to 'international' level. And the WBU, of course, is permantantly vacant, so no problem getting a title for the fight. Dump it when the fight's over and it puts him in line for a Williams fight in the summer (for the British).

The WBU , does allegedly have anything to do with that, as most of the WBU champions happen to be managed by him.

I think even those Fight Skool bills have area titles attached to them. Good call on the latter...bet it's a tiny proportion though.
