ismael barosso, who was stopped years back by ant crolla, now is some wba champ at the age of 40, having wrecked ohara davies in about 90 seconds. in his previous fight, he was giving arguably a career bestt performance in being ahead on all the cards vs rolly romero, until an utterly dubois stoppage against him. he is probably riding as high as ever

what other fighters reaached a career high at a late age?

Regardless of Davies standing at world level,. Taylor,.Catterall or even Ritson done it that efficiently

Pisses me off out of all the people for Barroso to get stiffed by it was Rolly Romero, hopefully there's a big call for a rematch now, Romero gives him it Rolly patches Garcia, Ry goes crawling back to Haney, Devin tells him to do one,

I don't know that any fighter has necessarily "Peaked" at a later age, but I've seen some have a resurgence at a later age. James Toney had been all but written off by most Boxing insiders before coming back in a huge way in 2003.

Verno Phillips while never being a huge star achieved most of his biggest success deep into his career.

Bernard Hopkins was on his 14th or so title defense, and starting to get into his late 30's before he ever got recognition as the talent that he was.

Foreman of course famously found a 2nd life in his 40's.

Archie Moore finally got his shot in his late 30's or early 40's and had a significant reign.

Those are the main ones that come to mind for me. I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting.

Can remember French Algerian Affif Dejlti tearing through British super-feathers around his 40s

Also, the Bedford Bear Matt Skelton had a good late run

Two good shouts. Djelti always comes to mind. He was like 45. Amazing career turnaround.

Toney peaked when he started failing drug tests.

Toney was the first to show steroids do not necessarily make you look muscular too!

thank you Coco. Bloody hell mate you're humble. You fought a lot of good people - Scott Dixon (CW champ), Carl Greaves (Area and WBF, one of my heroes as he was local and trained a friend of mine Spelman), Gary Thornhill (British champ), Esham Pickering (best person I ever saw live as a kid), Colin Lynes, Graham Earl, Steve Murray. And you beat Arv Mittoo!

and amazingly he's still going. I really like Martinez, has done some amazing anti-bullying work, a lot of what he's done is now considered best practice.

Martinez used to randomly fight in UK, he did not get an easy way up the ladder.

Fought Dixon twice, Jason Cook twice, Roy Rutherford twice, Steve Conway was IBO champ as was Charles Shepherd, PJ Gallagher, Emilio Casal
And I was gifted the decision against Arv Mittoo
