Weights for Morales vs. Pacquiao

Erik Morales: 130 pounds. He had to strip for the weight and will no doubt come in ~10 pounds heavier tomorrow night. Still doesn't look too strong to me. But that shouldn't make much difference to his normal game: Morales is all about technique.

Manny Pacquiao: 129.5 pounds. I don't know what it is, but I think Pacquiao might have trained hard for this fight...

:o

Just take a good look folks. Two ripped and ready elite fighters going head to head in their primes tomorrow night. The closest thing to getting it live for the majority of us will be watching the AP photos roll into Yahoo!

Welcome to being a boxing fan in the UK in 2005.

As we all know, muscle weighs a lot more than fat. What might be the case is if Morales came in muscled up, he would be well over the weight, so has basically had to emaciate himself. He doesn't look good at all. Then again, it's only one pic.

Manny...ye gods!

And yes, absolutely awful that we can't watch it live.

Every time it seems like Morales has gone through hell to make weight. No doubt he'll come in nearly a stone heavier but maybe we'll see that that isnt the best tactic.

Bruce Lee however looks like he has nothing to spare but hasn't necessarily punished himself. I think we may see the difference that makes when it comes to freshness in the later rounds. (Not to mention Erik's previous wars)

Of course we won't get to see any of this for fornicating week.

I'm not even going to get it from Boxing Torrents because the file's title will have the winners name first - i have to see it not knowing the result.

I was hoping that maybe some channel would make a last minute take-it-or-leave-it deal to get broadcast rights cheap.
I even checked out all the budget airlines to see if i could get dirt cheap tickets to the continent and watch it in a bar someway but no.

If anyone has any ideas on how we can get to see it live please please post it up. before i enter my week long exile from boxing websites.

I suppose at least it won't be hard to avoid the result on tv and in newspapers for the next few days in this bloody country.

Rant over (for now)

this fornicating sucks, TV coverage fornicating stinks, this is the biggest fight of the year to date, may be the fight of the year, and we have to wait a fornicating week to see it.

I think I will have to download this one from somewhere.

Manny looks like he has about 2% body fat, he looks like a bodybuilder, christ almighty.

Manny wins this one, late stoppage or points.

Its so fornicating insulting from Sky to advertise this a week late with a big smile like they are rewarding their loyal fans or something. Oh thank you Sky you are the greatest. We are so grateful for giving us the fight of the year a week late. Especially as you put on such great weekly Sports Network shows with their extremely competitive and exciting matchups. Fuckers. Anyone know the E-mail address to complain and just to fornicating insult them?

Is Manny Pacquiao still using Juston Fortune as his conditioner? I know Manny has a very muscular-type body, but I do not believe he has been that ripped and muscular before a bout before?

Erik Morales has to strip naked to make the weight, I wonder what he has to go through to make the weight? I would not be surprised at all if Morales moves up a weight after this fight, especially if he does indeed lose.

It will be interesting to see what the fight-time weights are.

My prediction is a late stoppage in favour of the Pac-man. If not, he wins on points. If any1 can answer my questions above, I would be grateful.

Pac had the same build for the Barrera fight and JMM fight as well. I can remember the Barrera weigh in.

Yes Manny looked much the same for his last few fights, and he usualy does the old body builder flex for the cameras too.

Morales looks ok to me. He'll probably be around 144 now, like he was in Barrera 3. In a few hours, Manny will be facing up to a welterweight in there.

This one might come down to heart, and maybe, just maybe, that's where Morales holds the edge. PacMan has been hurt, stopped and floored.
Eric has never come close - the guy has a frightening intensity.

I've gone for a PacMan win - speed, power and a few too many wars catching up with Morales.
But I'm starting to wonder if that'll be enough to beat the Mexican warrior.

Impossible to know for sure, which makes this a great, great fight.

And an effing nightmare I can't watch it live. I'm going for a drink.

We even get to watch it here live what's up with Sky over there it is one of the biggest fights of the year.  Maybe they want everyone in England to not see the rest of the world fight so everyone can think that Calzaghe and Hatton are the best in the world :TU: :TU:

The scorcards were fairly generous to Pacquio he only won 2 rounds clearly and i gave him 4 all up and one of them i was being kind, He was simply out boxed and out smarted by a better fighter.
