Probably Haye from that list. After his non performance against Vlad, his career just petered out. I feel he underachieved.

Josh Kelly
Buatsi

Sorry Spud. Kirkland Laing?
Probably over achieved

David Haye?
Ridiculous multiple weight World Champion.

Billy Joe?
World Champion?

Eubank Jr?
What were you expecting, seriously?

Nonsense.
You really need to stop these vague post openings.
I’m worried you’re turning into another Doufus

Naz Hamed

He scythed his way through the level just down from elite with the promise of more to show .. unfortunately all he then demonstrated was the different levels between being very good and elite.

I can debate all day.
What did you expect Spud?

Seriously?
A guy who won an amateur World medal
3 of 4 of the Cruiserweight belts.
A small heavyweight who won a version of the title.

You expected more?

I can go on all night.

Once David won the title his longevity in the sport looked very promising only to be blighted by injury just before the Klitschko fight

And calm down Si …. I am merely creating debate

Expectations tho
He was a smaller guy up against giants.
No wonder his body broke down.

I couldn’t really denigrate his career and say I expected more. Over achieved in my book.

Bad example Spud.

Easy. Audley Harrison. After seeing him in the Olympics I was telling everyone he’d dominate at heavyweight as a pro.

this.

And Conlan.

And Richard Towers, a very random one but I thought with his stature he could have at least rebounded from Browne and been a good domestic fighter.

Pele Reid.

Boy did Brendan make a believer out of me, I was convinced he was going to be a world heavyweight champ.

me too, his name was really cool and as he'd beaten Klitschko in kick boxing I presumed he'd be ace. Wonder what he is up to these days.

I am an idiot, I bought his autobiography after the Olympics and thought he would win everything!

Pat Barrett

I loved watching Black Flash as he had the equaliser; a punch that could turn a fight at any moment. He went to Italy and completely flattened Calamiti for the Euro title during a period when a lot of British fighters went there and got frustrated by the stinking style that Italian fighters used.
I thought he could achieve a world title but eventually came up against an even more frustrating fighter in WBO champ Manning Galloway (anyone remember the 1 page ads Galloway used to have about himself in Boxing Outlook?) and just couldn't get near him.
I think around that time, light-welter and welterweight had champions of the likes of Chavez, Brown, Taylor, Blocker, Coggi...so it may well have been the most likely option but wasn't to be.

No it’s not a bad example.

There is no one who is was further up David’s a*se than me😜

I had what I considered realistic expectations of what he was going to and thus a totally one sided win against Audlley, a nightmare loss against kilt, and a ok win Against Chisora followed by 2 training camps and 2 pullouts for a Fury fight ….

Then a shot to bits David losing against Bellew told me David could achieved a lot more.,..

Ack, such a talent. To have to face the likes of McCallum and Jackson for world titles though, ffs.
He was unlucky against Brewer, just too late in his career.

Not just injuries....

Although a magnificent physical specimen he didnt live the life all the time.

took some opponents for granted (CAT)

Was only going to beat the world class big heavyweights if he used his biggest assets, speed and power. He didnt jump on Wlad, if he did then the result could have been different.

We cant knock what he achieved at Cruiser

We can knock what he achieved at Heavy, He was kind of gifted a world title against the hairy and immobile Valuev, then some gifted defences v Ruiz etc

If Haye had lived the life his body would not have caught up with him. A fully functioning Haye would absolutely cleaned Bellews clock for him.
