Blimey where do you start, they're all lickers in one way or another, as Porky would say.

Put this way, if someone asked me a boxing YouTube channel I'd recommend, I would be hard pushed. I know the Boxing News channel has a lot of fans amongst the hardcores, but they have their own bias towards anything McGuigan related.

Essentially the boxing media is in a bit of a state.

All that licking has done them well. It's promoter sponsored media these days.

Which is exactly why I resigned from the boxing writers club and no longer work in the sport. Too many years wasted in a sport where pretty much every one is protecting their next pay check

All of the independant ones seem terrible to me.

Also I feel like boxing media/boxing youtube has significantly damaged the sport.

Elite level professional athletes who risk their lives and torture their bodies in the process need to understand that their time and their opinions should not be given out for free just because someone has a microphone and camera.

And because of the sheer amount of these stupid boxing channels, you have everyone thinking they are a boxing expert/historian while the actual boxers get looked like they are zoo animals.

The only boxing media in general that I enjoy is the showtime sports all access. The story telling and visuals are professionally done and are always great watch.

I never pay attention to who's channel it is, but I always roll my eyes when I see those YouTube videos that say something like "Mike Tyson humbles a bully" or something, and it pictures him staring up at Bob Sapp or Alistair Overeem or some other person he never fought.

Also in an unrelated, but somewhat similar vein. Does anyone else notice that with Social Media's coverage of the sport. 90% of the articles or posts you see are about Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao or Mike Tyson.

When 3 retired Boxers are what all of the internet Boxing news revolves around that can only hurt the sport.

It’s another form of promotion, advertising.

Yh they don’t charge, but some of these channels are well followed. Especially if you’re just starting out. Who’s gonna give you the time of day?

That’s where these channels come in.

I just saw a Facebook group boxing post marvelling at a photo of Mike Tyson’s muscular physique in 1997 while he was shoving those security guards after Holyfield Ii. Seemingly hundreds of comments on there where folk either don’t know or don’t care that Iron Mike basically quit that night after 2 and a bit rounds.

Those guys are clueless, worst thing about it is they get clout from guys like Crawford, Tank, Spence etc, bozos like Artman, Ray Jackson, Scoon, I don't follow any of them but they've been watching boxing 5 minutes and know about 10 boxers between them, not to mention they never mention fights, just tweet about a dozen fighters between them and promoters and networks ,never seen one give an opinion on an actual fights, sure we've got plenty divs online over here but they get treated with the contempt they deserve, don't get me wrong the guys I've mentioned get plenty flak from their countrymen as well but it's world level fighters interacting with them and even agreeing with them that baffles me, truly weird

I dont watch any, because the few clips I have seen they just lick the arse of the boxer they are talking too.

I guess because if they asked hard questions, snowflakes like Fury would have a temper tantrum and not appear on their show as a guest again. So all they can do is lick the boxers arse.

Me too, he does take the pee out of himself, seems a lot more chilled these days. The Shia Lebeouef interview was unexpected and very good.

Rarely watch any nowadays , same reason has others are saying , its just ass licking at its finest , occasionaly watch that Jordan fella , don't mind some of his stuff , not watched Froch yet suppose i will give it a go , but the rest just can't be arsed watching some little twerp lick a thug like John Furys arse , when he's a fella i would'nt even want to talk too , i put most of these interviewers in the same basket has the fools who continually lick the ass of football thugs and plastic gangsters
