quirky scenario - input wanted

the yarde-arthur series had me thinking of a funny thing with how wins play out. someone mentioned that yarde has beat a top 10 fighter in arthur, like that was an impressive accomplishment that solidifies him as world level. thing is, arthur only got into the top 10 for beating yarde.
so ranked fighter a beats unranked fighter b. big deal. B was never proven etc
BUT LET'S SAY
ranked fighter a is upset by unranked fighter b. fighter b is now ranked too
ranked fighter a gets revenge over the now ranked fighter b.
So fighter A beats a ranked opponent, whereas if he'd beat him on the first try it woulda been over an unranked fighter. but does this win mean any more to you than if fighter A had won without neeeding a redo ?
