How much credit does Ben Davison deserve?

I think a lot. They seem to be a very good fit and like each other. Joshua has looked superb under him.

I’ve always rated him. Done great with Leigh wood. Obv a superb motivator. Gets too much stick for simply being young.

Lets not forget who AJ has fought under him before we get too excited ..

Wallin and Ngannou didn`t present the same level of competition as Usyk ..

*But he has certainly contributed towards AJs new confidence.

There’s footage of them practising in the dressing room, nothing but right-hand pile-drivers.

Fair play to Ben, simplest of game plans, but exactly what Joshua needed to do

Shows us how subpar MMA really is. They don’t punch like boxers, because Francis had a reputation for having a rockhard chin.

F*ck knows what Fury was playing it when he took on Francis

Can only go by his record and it's pretty good.

The difference between Fury and Joshua was the ability to ‘box’ fluidly at pace and time his opponent.

Fury just couldn’t get anything going, it was like he was wading through treacle. He was struggling to step in and out of range and just get his shots off. He had to fiddle his way to victory using ring craft.

Maybe he is shot, maybe he didn’t train. I’d favour the latter.

The Fury that KO’d Whyte would have done the same to Ngannou.

Now everyone is making out Ngannou is some kind of monster and Joshua has KO’d the next coming of George Foreman.

The truth is, Ngannou is a 0-2 novice. AJ just did the obvious, albeit emphatically.

I was thinking that way, but he looked in decent nick last night. No sign of the cut weirdly.

If he has in any way declined, he’s in for a tough night against Usyk!

Ariel Helwani, whilst stood right next to Fury last night, said the same thing 'I can't even tell which eye it was'.
Tyson 'Wolverine' Fury.

I think a lot Spud, he seems to be expert in helping them mentally too. And no fighter seems to ever fall out with him if they do leave, he never bad mouths anyone. I like that. What's your thoughts Spud?

So true.
If you take everything else out of the equation and look at the results - the results stand.

Fury might open it earlier, maybe around May 11th.

Can see why you guys think that , but i think its the training , the bad signs he's showing i think are more laziness , cockiness and not training properly , this sugar hill mauling style may well have been suited to Wilder , but not FN who is big and physicly probably stronger ,, look again at him boxing FN ,

i will instruct beginners , ,

Whats the Zone --- The zone is the distance where you can hit or be hit .

When in the Zone what do you do ---- You effectifly attack (punch ), or get out , basicily defend , or move out of the zone .
What do you never do --- You never jump or go into the zone , and do nothing .

WHY NOT --- becsause if your in the zone doing nothing , you will get clobbered .

Then watch that fight , Fury continually jumping into the zone to maul and hold , and getting hit ,

He would NEVER EVER of done that with uncle Peter in charge

I think he gets a lot of stick because he’s young, has nice hair and is a bit middle class.

If he was a bit less well spoken and an ex criminal or drug dealer, like many of our boxing trainers, then he’d probably be seen as more credible.

Does anyone know what amateur boxing club Ben boxed for? I think he had about 14 bouts. Struggling to find anything on line.

I would guess it's Hertfordshire way.

You can't really pad records like in the pros, people only take fights if they have half a chance as you only have a plastic trophy to get bashed up over.

If you start winning fights you get moved up pretty quickly until you find your level, or you just keep getting moved up!

At 14-0 you would be in national squads
