12 or 15 Rounds Heavyweight Bout

Either the prime Young would outbox the bigger Parker behind his jabs and counterpunches to take a decision or vice versa for Parker who would land his powerpunches to take a decision himself. What do you guys think and who do you got?

This is very interesting. If we're talking about the prime Jimmy - that's from late 1974 through 1977 - then Parker would need enormous hand-speed, boxing skill, and long-range punch accuracy to win. Young was incredibly hard to hit.

I think the younger version of Parker could have beaten Young, by decision. I'm thinking about the night Parker lost to AJ. Back then, Parker was a very quick long-range boxer puncher, a much lighter, more mobile fighter than he is now.

But if we're talking about the older version of Parker, the heavier, stronger fighter who changed his style to that of a flat-footed puncher, then I think Young beats him on points.

Young. 10-2 or something like that.
