A Question About BBBofC Officials

This Friday and Saturday we have a show from Queensberry and Matchroom respectively. Is there anyway to find out who will be refereeing each bout ahead of the weekend?
Thanks Spud, very informative, much appreciated.Spud wrote: ↑17 Mar 2024, 13:29 The Queensbury show on Friday is taking place at York Hall so that is supervised by the southern area.
I will get hold of Mick Collier
The Matchroom show is being held
At Sheffield arena so the head of the central area is either rob smith (not the rob smith in charge of th boardl) or les potts

did not know how it works like this, is this to stop fighters' camps approaching them in advance?Greg Houston wrote: ↑19 Mar 2024, 05:03 The board will have down which referees are scheduled to work the show, however other than championship bouts or eliminators, they won't necessarily be appointed to individual bouts until they get there on the night.
I don't think it's as thought through as that. Probably more that it's less effort to let the refs discuss it amongst themselves once they get there and know what's all happening (e.g. any late call offs, changes to number of rounds).SeanBrennan wrote: ↑19 Mar 2024, 16:52did not know how it works like this, is this to stop fighters' camps approaching them in advance?Greg Houston wrote: ↑19 Mar 2024, 05:03 The board will have down which referees are scheduled to work the show, however other than championship bouts or eliminators, they won't necessarily be appointed to individual bouts until they get there on the night.

Any time I've seen Sparkle Lee referee fights in America I have thought she did a good job. I'd like to see more female refs. A ringcard girl reffing a fight would be better than the likes of Foster, O'Connor, McDonnell etc.
