Rozanski Vs Okolie - WBC Bridgerweight title 24th May, Poland

Rozanski has the opportunity to do something really funny. The guy is one of the most unorthodox boxers out there and has KO power. It could be a circus-worthy fight for a circus-worthy division.

Literally what is this nonsense (the fight, not the OP)?

I wonder if fighting abroad will finally see Okolie disqualified in a fight where he has numerous points and many more warnings for his contant holding.

This "Bridgerweight" BS is just nauseating.
Okolie will go into octopus mode once he tastes the power.

Good fight, Okolie always going to move up…so why not pick up a world title of sorts in the process

probably the easiest title to win as they randomly rank people, no disrespect to Tommy Welch but he said he's ranked in their top 15. Whilst being only ranked number 14 on Boxrec for British HWs.

I guess the wbc are trying to build the weight class and so arent too fussy about who fights for it for now .
Plus its gonna earn $$$ for them anyway

true. I don't blame any smaller heavies going for it though. I would (if I could box and wasn't 45 pounds over the BW limit) :)

2 pretty big egos. Will be interesting to see how it goes.
Okolie was crazy to leave McGuigan.

Okolie realiseing he cant box and employs an actual coach rather than just one of his cronies is a step in the right direction but he was with Shane Mcquigan so could this be a bit of a backward step maybe .

He was with Sugar Hill after leaving McGuigan. He didn’t want to pay tax in the U.K. though as he was basing himself abroad (Dubai I think) so couldn’t train much in the U.K. so not sure exactly how much time he spent with Sugar who would be spending a good chunk of time training with Tyson Fury.

When debating boxing especially ex world champions like Okolie, although I have wrote it, I am embarrassed to say someone like him who has reached world title level is a hideous watch.
Do I expect too much?
