Question: How does Joyce stopping Ali affect the current rankings?

Joyce fine where he is so no change. Although he has two consecutive losses to #6 in Zhang, he also has a win over #4 in Parker less than 2 years ago which is the second best victory in our current rankings over the past 2 years after Usyk beating Joshua.

I would bring Whyte in at #12. His record over the past few years is an L Fury, W over Franklin and W over Hammer. Realistically only the Franklin result matters and I think that's a better scalp than Wilder and Sanchez have since 2022 but worse than most others. Wilder and Sanchez are both way too high for me so I would just have to make a compromise here.

Joyce had a low level fight, and a fairly low level performance.
He got the job done, as expected, but Ali was able to land flush and frequently on Joyce. Not the sort of reset and improve you would expect from a guy coming off two losses because he couldn't defend himself.
Realistically, you would expect him to try out defensive tactics on a guy he is levels above, and he didn't.
Not expecting massive improvement obviously, but some at least.

Down one because he was copping bombs that a sloth could dodge. But nothing more because he took em well.

Joyce is the ultiment styles make fights guy, so ranking him is near impossible. Could be 5th could be 50th depending on who’s in front of him.

Voted other (10). Ahead of Bakole and below Dubois.

Mostly agree with what's said above, but I'd throw in that's his below Kabayel too.

He did nothing to go down and nothing to go up. No change.

Martin Bakole will face Cassius Chaney in Florida on May 31st on the Don King card (main event Adrien Broner vs Blair Cobbs).

Bakole should be much better than Chaney but Chaney is ranked #7 by the WBA so that shows what Bakole's target is. He's ranked WBA #1 so he's either angling for the WBA mandatory or the WBA Regular mandatory. Charr Vs Pulev is happening for the Regular while Joshua and Parker follow Bakole in the rankings so an eliminator with one of them could be called for the full belt if that's what the plan is.

Let's hope Bakole hasn't signed one of King's poison contracts to get it done.
