Tyson Fury … Press Conf

It’s being reported that Tyson Fury is holding a press conf today in morecombe.

The question is:

Is tyson just giving an update about training.

Is Tyson changing trainers to his dad

Is Tyson Fury pulling out

None of the above

He aint pulling out yet (just realised how bad that sounds :OhYes: )

Its going to be shown live on the TNT Youtube channel and the screen shot is of the fight poster - it would surely be a lot more "low key" if it was a major announcement concerning the cancelling / postponing of the fight. Even in the description TNT are noting how to view the fight.

Thanks. Hopefully it is to promote the Uysk fight.

I'm intrigued to see if his Dad has taken over from Sugar Hill, who doesn't seem to there.

I felt like Fury and Sugar Hill were a good team.

I think even I would pick Usyk as the favourite if Big John is training his son

Why would you hold a press conference for that? To announce a new trainer? I mean dos he really need a press conference for that?

Its for actually less - its a reminder that the fight is going ahead.

I watched most of it, very odd. Dev sat at the side compering questions, Tyson making statements then saying "facts". His dad sat at the back with Tommy, chipping in when Tyson refers to him. It wasn't anything bad it was just really random.

Maybe no confidence in the ppv sales and need to boost it.

It was pretty pointless. It could have benefitted from Usyk, even via Skype. I suppose his dad's prediction of a boring chess match was at least off script.

Fairly close camera on Fury, the scarring over his right eye looks bad.

Presumably it will be a lot of body sparring this camp.

Indeed! It would have to weigh on your mind. Especially with Usyk's speed and accuracy.

John Fury, for once, spoke the most sense, a boring chess match seems the most likely outcome.

Some of what Fury said made sense - however, Holyfield did of course Beat Bowe in the rematch, and the first fight was certainly no cakewalk for Bowe.

I do wonder if Tyson's own self-belief is clouding his perceptions of his own abilties.

I guess we will find out.

If he smashed Usyk, then I will have been proven wrong, not for the first time, I think it more likely he wins a close fight, or loses a close fight.

Does feel like Tyson is needing to reach for the big sales lever and is doing some heavy lifting.

Should not have to - it is for the unified, it matters - but Usyk ain't such an obvious villain and I do kind of wonder how many folk are going to be paying the full whack for amazing seats/packages in Riyadh.

Prince Al-Whatever and his countless nephews and cousins I am guessing don't pay a thing and the Saudis seem to give a lot of freebies away as well. Basically a break-even on the gate, even a loss leader?

Two European heavyweights fighting for all the belts and all the glory, strange that the Germans who perfected all those huge stadium fights and had the US venues on the run seem to have completely disappeared

Alex Krassyuk on Fury's recent solo press conference:

" We viewed it as Fury's farewell speech to boxing. He can't beat Uysk".
