Anthony Yarde next person to jump ship?

Deserves a new topic i think

I personally think he should stay with Frank, Hes Earned him big fights while avoiding everyone half decent. Either taxi driver or World class. Maybe history repeating itself like Naz.

This will end badly for Yarde.

I find it hard to understand what he's unhappy with, given the opportunities he's had - I mean obviously I'm not in possession of all the facts, but he's had a pretty stonking career, considering his amateur background.

Does he not fancy the Buatsi fight? It's a little mystifying.

Boxxer is the only option for me. Azeez and Buatsi are the best matchups he can hope for at the moment.

Frank has promoted him beyond his level but it seems bitter now and I don't know what else Frank can get him. He won't be able to get him a third shot. Lyndon Arthur rubber match? I don't see him paying for a big American name as he hasn't paid for any decent opponent for Yarde yet.

Hearn has Bivol so could offer him that but Hearn has been downplaying Yarde for years now and I don't think the fans would buy into Yarde Vs Bivol at all. Yarde Vs Smith is an option but I don't think Hearn will be paying Yarde the big bucks.

Only other option is chasing Beterbiev with Top Rank (but Frank had the best relationship with Bob) or going to Wasserman to face Richards. Neither are straight forward or will earn him a lot.

Wouldnt at all be surprised if he ends up with Boxxer and this fight with Buatsi going PPV on SKY.

My prediction is Fwanks legal team by scores of 120-108.

Frank’s definite that Yarde has a fight/fights remaining. I’d be surprised if he isn’t correct here.

I can’t see what more he could have done for Yarde. He got him in a position to fight for the WBO belt by not beating anyone in a winnable fight against Kovalev, he beat some more poor opponents and 1-1 with Arthur and then gets Yarde a home fight against Beterbiev.

We’ve recently had several boxers go to Boxxer following advice from Maz Majeed.

Okolie went over when Matchroom believed he had one fight left. They settled it.

Buatsi went over when Matchroom believed they had matching rights. That’s still being disputed legally.

Eubank Jr works with Majeed and apparently tried to leave Wasserman to link up directly with Boxxer/Sky but Wasserman have managed to stop it for now.

I’ve no idea if Yarde is also now speaking to Majeed but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Frank has done a good job for Yarde and also helped Tunde out by not suggesting Yarde leave him when everyone else was. Shame for it to be like it is now.

Eddie’s already said he won’t make a move for Yarde given their working relationship with Frank.

They were looking to do that anyway with the PPV being on both Sky and TNT. A 50/50 split was agreed with everyone except Yarde.

Seen this scenario too many times now, it looks like Warren has an open and shut case, and Yarde is being very badly advised.

This will likely result in Yarde either having to do a uturn, or spending years out of the ring, unable to fight for anybody, spending huge sums on legal battles, he will likely lose.;

I think Queensbury have done a terrific job with Yarde, delivering big fights and raising his profile.

I also thought Yarde showed real character against Beterbiev.

I was surprised to see this; they seemed an excellent fit.

I find it strange that fighters think their contracts are up, but promoters insist it's not. Surely it can't be that difficult to know how many fights you have left on your deal.

Frank should've thrown Yarde under the bus ages ago, forget about the efforts against Kovalev and Beterbiev, his career bar the Arthur fights have been mince, Warren alluded to the fact that he can't get him or his team to accept meaningful fights and want him fighting cans en route to title shots, he never learned from the first title loss to Kovalev and went back to fighting patsy's before his "brave" showing against Beterbiev, he's risk adverse, knows he'll still get props for fighting Kovalev and Beterbiev regardless of him losing, if he leaves Queensberry he'll be in with a few stiffs before losing the next big fight, Warren has took the flak for his poor resume , on the surface he's a former Commonwealth champion with 2 world title challenges under his belt but the majority of his career has been piss poor

He should have a chat with Josh Warrington about whether the grass is greener

I agree.
Mr W*rren has looked after him.

Is it those around him having too much influence

I'd stay with Warren, he's guided him well to big money. Obviously my inside knowledge of it is zero but he's done well out of the sport with FW from what I've seen. With FW working with Matchroom too there's less barriers to cross promotional fights moving forward too.

I do maintain that Audley will one day become HW champ though......

Yarde should think very, very carefully before leaving Warren if that’s his intention. That scenario doesn’t usually end well.

I know boxers have every right to go where they want but Warren has done a lot for him

This smacks of Okolie-esque bad advice in his ear

thanks mate. Warren is very insistent that he's also still under contract. I'd be cautious into going into contractual battle with FW, you wont win even if you 'win'.

Frank is a good promoter I think. A powerful man too and not someone I would play silly buggers with

Me neither, I can't imagine him being wrong on a contractual position these days. I like Yarde, hope it gets sorted. I don't think MR would try to sign him either tbh, they have a good relationship with FW.

Who was it said ,........ You want loyalty buy a dog ......... Yarde will regret this , If he is contracted he'll be kept right out the loop , if he goes back , Frank will put him to the back , knowing he'll be off soon has he can boxers ned to have a real good look at who's pissing in there ear
