Just seen this is set for 10 rounds at the Brentwood centre in June.

Not listed as for the Southern area title but I would guess that unless Fisher wants to keep hold of it then this will be made for that title?

Any thoughts?

Lovely domestic fight.

Seems a reasonable match up for the Southern Area title (if that transpires).

Hopefully Armstrong gets a decent tune-up in Torquay on 18th May 2024 (bout scheduled on Boxrec). Harry won his first 5 fights against low grade opposition but then hasn't won in his last 3 bouts, but showed some guts against Fisher.

Webb's been out for nearly 3 years and I got the impression a while back that his career is all about 'shoot or bust'.

Wish these area titles would be better supported. Not sure if the boards responsible for the titles aren't ordering or if the guys best placed to contest them aren't going for them.

Probably the intercontinental and international titles have killed these fights.

they are contested barely ever in some weights, I think it could be much better marketed compared to the alphabet intercontinentals but presume the latter is pursued for ranking climbing.

Webb hasn't made much headway after beating Mark Bennett in the Ultimate Boxxer a few years ago. Why the long absence away?

not too sure, he is a fully qualified sparky and has also worked as a personal trainer, so I don't thin he has ever been a very full time pro, perhaps that is part of it.

Webb had a career saving win over a continental opponent but then got stuffed in a round by Wardley. Nick had already been whacked out by Dave Allen.

It was more a case that the wheels had come off rather than Webb not forging ahead in the rankings.

I like Webb, good win record-wise vs Pfeiffer but Pfeiffer was a shell by then

10 rounds of big boys, if it ends up being a war it’s a fornicating rough way to make a couple grand…

They will be on ticket deals, you sell 100 50 quid tickets, you will keep half, like 2.5k

thanks Coco. I'd be so stressed having to do ticket deals, I bet your prep is impacted having to push tickets and probably bomb about delivering them etc. Makes you see why lots of people go on the road.

I'd also mess the money and end up making 4p when I'd sorted it.

Definitely Magnus. It is a testament to Warrington that he worked his way up from that, delivering tickets whilst working full time for many a year too.

Warrington had a terrific attitude & ethic for selling tickets.

Massive effort. I'd forget to deliver them as I'd be knackered and up looking like a scammer. I'd end up with the moniker Scammy No Fans.

Johnny Fisher posted a message on his Instagram confirming he’s dropped the Southern area title belt so these two can fight for it and keep the belt active.

I like this fight, even better with an Area belt on the line. I prefer seeing the Area belts than the intercontinentals, WBO European etc.
