See this being advertised on the Tyson vs Paul undercard. Wasn’t Chavez quite seriously ill not so long ago with a drug habit?

I fear for Till and his post UFC career. His body is clearly in decline.

I grimly predict after Iill starred bkb, misfits & power slap experiments he will end up fighting a bear on a trophy hunting reservation.

Till is an extremely boring counter puncher. He's not even a great technician and most of his wins came from him just being much bigger. Chavez is clearly beyond gone and will just follow him around missing everything. His dad was a great fighter but had his own issues and clearly young Julio having to witness some of it, had a pretty bad effect.

Good assessment on Till. When he stepped up his comp in MMA he struggled to pull the trigger, his 'striking' was overrated, none more so than by himself. At the start of the 2nd round in the Du Plessis fight, Du Plessis was gassed and almost a sitting duck, if Till could box well he would have taken him apart, yet all he had was a straight left down the pipe, and he even struggled to get that off. I can't see how he will fair well in boxing.

No idea who Darren Till is but I've seen enough of Chavez to know he's not coming to win.

Chavez Jr was stopped by Anderson Silva if I recall correctly

Till has some power, whether he can actually box is another matter

Agreed. Tills ideal fight is a very low volume fencing fight where he has time and space to pick shots. He needs to feel comfortable throwing and in MMA the striking is generally so poor compared to boxing, that you can fight in that style and just wait for openings and feel comfortable throwing. I think in MMA he immediately had an advantage being a southpaw and then realised that he could capitalise on mistakes and land that straight left if he just waited long enough.

As he went up in level there were fighters who were also content to play that game and it made for horrific viewing. The times he went in against anyone who had a wrestling advantage he was taken down and beaten up. Quite quick to tap out also. Looking at his skillset, he's got a decent left hand but he hasn't got a jab or any kind of right hand really other than for pawing. He's not good at taking the lead and got mullered by Woodley when he did so. That was a rare case of him actually going for something because Woodley had form for going the distance and throwing nothing all night himself.

Till also, even though he is unkown outside of MMA, he believes he is relevent. His MMA career is done now but he still craves the spotlight, and a bit of cash.

Till is no Silva, but might still have a chance here, but only because Chavez Jr might be totally shot to bits.

Can't for the life of me understand why a promoter ANY promoter would pay to have Chavez on there card to stink the place out , theres lots of good honest pro's around who deserve a shot

He can throw some punches I guess? but his chin hangs like Rushmore except it's sure not made of granite, certainly not, Masvidal ain't no power puncher and yes 4 oz gloves are no picnic but Till got the whole head clang off the floor routine from him, again from his exposed chin

Cuz he's so inconsistent he's the only "name" boxer (his FATHER was good ffs) they can risk Till with, as Till has no defence and his chin is an irresistible target, Chavez might be the only "pro boxer" lazy enough to let Till win through activity alone

Till was a Liverpudlian UFC fighter that got released last year. He was part of the money laundering regime for Daniel Kinahan via MTK, he used to spend lots of time in Dubai paid for by the Kinahan heroin and cocaine syndicate. He now courts crossover fights as his drug lord funder is in hiding and the UFC cut him after losing 3 in a row and 5 of his last 6.
