Queensberry vs. Matchroom rules explained

Both Eddie Hearn and allegedly were both given the chance to pick two weight classes for the card, as was Turki Alalshikh, who heads up Riyadh Season.

That has led to the five fights being established for the night and the following points system for the outcome of each contest.

- Two points are given for a knockout victory, and one point is given for a win decided on the judges’ scorecards.
- Drawn fights are awarded no points.
- There is the chance for one boxer, designated the team captain, to score double points.
- - For Matchroom, their captain is Deontay Wilder, and for Queensberry it is Hamzah Sheeraz.

That means, for example, if Wilder beats Zhilei Zhang by decision, he will garner two points, but if Wilder wins by knockout, Team Matchroom will be awarded four points.

Dmitry Bivol vs. Zalik Minad is not included in the scoring for the night.

Deontay will probably throw one punch over eight rounds, and it might be the finishing punch. Also, a strong possibility the Big Bang could wreck him first

Big Bang, esp in the early rounds, is good enough to box his opponent into getting digged hard, I think he will get to Wilder, and Wilder wont be able to wear it.
I see Zhang dropping and hurting him and nor letting him off the hook.
I don't dont see Wilder being able to box his way out of it.

It’s possible that Wilder will be unable to prevent Zhang from tagging him, but personally I’m not expecting the bronze one to be loitering within punching range, during the early rounds at least. He knows he is up against a big lump with average stamina at best.

I thought Zhang was shocking vs Parker. Had him in trouble a few times and never once stepped on the gas. His punch output was horrendous. I’ve not seen Wilder box for years so no idea what he’s like now. If I was having a bet I’d go with Wilder purely for value…

Bit gutted the Champions League final is on at the same time. Do we know the exact running order?

Betting has been suspended on the Dubois v Hrgovic fight. Hope there isn't an issue there.

He says he's lived all his life in Scotland, yet his accent is distinctly "no man born from his mother"

Hutchinson said in an interview his whole family is Wnglish but he was born in Scotland and I think says he’s always lived there but with the household accent being English he has an odd accent as a result.

The fact that he's slurring his words doesn't help either.

I’ve had a soft spot for Dubois ever since his (in my view) impressive effort against Joyce. Hope he does well tonight.

This fight with Hrgovic just might be the best bit of timing in his career so far.

And I haven’t even had a drink yet.
