Michael Hunter: WBA Gold Heavyweight Champion

Hi Guys
Is Michael Hunter now the WBA Gold Heavyweight Champion after his win over Cassius Chaney?
In his record it's not listed. So was the fight really for that title or was it for the WBA Gold Continental NA title?
In the introduction to the fight the named it "for the WBA Gold title"
I can see nowhere that it was a "real titlefight"
in the list of champions Robert Helenius is still listed as WBA Gold C., even if other sources say that Helenius vacated the title in 2021. So what's the case? Answers are very welcome, thanks a lot

It's not a real title, so not a real title fight

I doubt even Michael Hunter cares if he has that belt or not.

Hunter has the strangest career.
Creditable against Usyk and Povetkin, good win vs Bakole who doesn't seem too keen to rematch him but floundering around in exhibition matches and fighting no mark guys in his prime years.
A archetypal "who needs him" boxer.

You know what's more reveleant is that hunter lost before his bout with Chaney to Russian Artem Suslenkov. There's footage everywhere and it's a legit pro boxing bout. It's not on his record at all. Wasn't even acknowledg at his last fight.

Dylanc,

There is footage of the fight and Box Rec will not acknowledge it? Was the fight a fix, a perfomace enhancing drug issue or fake in anyway?

Gold is at an all time high value now, but the Gold WBA champion is virtually worthless.

Match him against Manuel Charr for the WBA Undisputed Worthless Championship belt.

The fight wasn't officially sanctioned so isn't counted
