First time in a while I've been disappointed with an Inoue opponent. This stinks of Arum's matchmaking though.

There are quite a lot of much more legitimate options than Doheny. Goodman, Casimero, Akhmadaliev, Davies, Nakatani, a few other bantamweights, a few featherweights.

Imagine all it takes to fight the undisputed champ is to fight in japan for a year.

Poor opponent, but Monster doesn’t fight a lot of gimmie fights so this will just be target practice for something more important. Probably won’t last long

This is really bad. Sam Goodman was solid for normal but disappointing for inoue… this just sucks.

Why? Is there money in it? I can’t imagine so. Mabey inoue just wants a rest and figured he can beat th with a light camp. Whatever the reason, I hate it.

The dude spoils us though. What he's done in one year at this division is pretty hard to top.

ya, sam a pretty standard 'disappointing' fight. likee im not into that one at all but i can understand it as a lighter touch for inoue. goodman is at least world top 10, its not dipping crazy low.

And this is about as risk free as it gets.

It's more of an stay busy exhibition for the home fans than a meaningful fight.

And, after the recent incredible run of Inoue, why not?

It's not as if he's spent years avoiding his most dangerous rivals like some have been known to do.

TJ Doheny will be at home in Japan and he is also literally the opponent with nothing to lose.
