Porkys Corner - Revisited

Just not the same since Julian McGowan stopped doing his weekly slot on there (has he stopped for good)
Julians spot was one of the best 'listen to's' in British boxing. Eloquent, succinct and truthful.
Personally im swaying towards Boxing King Media now.
What else is on the market that is worth my ear?

I rate boxing king media. Good interviewer. My favourite journo is Tris Dixon. Would love to buy him a pint

Julian was brilliant. I think he got sick of politics.

I listen to:
Boxing Now (love Aky Karim) - his Peter Fury interviews are brilliant. I'm a member and for £2.99 a month you get a lot.
Boxing King Media - on its way to taking over from IFL as the biggest and deservedly so in my opinion. The guy who does it is great, former policeman from Sheffield who is very well regarded.
Porkys Corner

Conisbrough!
I used to occasionally walk there from Maltby in the early 80's. Fantastic castle especially the keep. When I used to go it had no interior floors and it was quite dramatic going up the winding interior steps but I heard they have done a lot of interior work on it in more recent times. Spectacular view from the top. Especially of Maltby slag heap in the distance.

Yes, I'd walk back too unless the weather turned nasty or I was feeling particularly lazy then I would get the bus into Donny town centre get some fish and chips and then jump on the bus from there back to Maltby. They had a great bus service in those days and cheap as chips too.

that's great, I'm from Gainsborough, also used to get the bus to Donny and it went through all the villages on the way. Used to also get fish and chips at the chippy opposite the market. Happy days.

Threatened Julian?
If Julian is no longer doing Porkys corner bits he would be a fantastic coup to do slots for any of the media outlets, an absolute font of knowledge and seems a genuine and nice guy too.

when you say stones you mean white?
Porky's been clear on his past, no judgement here. His b addiction he is open about. And if he was selling white in Donny it's bashed 0.1s he probably got an addiction to lidocaine and drain cleaner.
