DAZN have announced a trio of fight cards for August and September.
Diego Pacheco, Rocky Hernandez, and Dalton Smith all have return dates set for DAZN main events.
Super middleweight contender Pacheco (21-0, 17 KO) will be up first, as he faces veteran Maciej Sulecki on Aug. 31 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. The 23-year-old Pacheco last fought on Apr. 6, winning a decision over Shawn McCalman in a fight that was maybe a bit tougher than some expected, but a test passed and a win picked up.
Sulecki (32-2, 12 KO) is 35 years old now and has fought just twice since 2021, and has been fighting at a pretty low level since his 2019 loss to Demetrius Andrade, where he was shut out over 12 rounds.

pacheco has a lota of tools but last few fights show he needs more seasoning before pushing to top level. though it would be nice if he were fighting a genuine smw and not a blown up faded mw. hopefully at least he gets more good work in camp and sulecki can give it a good go
Re: Diego Pacheco vs. Maciej Sulecki | DAZN - August 31, 2024
The Cap’n gets her first dig at a buried treasure.
Ginny Fuchs will enter her first pro bout in more than a year. It was well worth the wait for the 2020 U.S. Olympian, who will challenge interim WBC junior bantamweight titlist Adelaida Ruiz. Their scheduled ten-round bout is set for Aug. 31 on the Diego Pacheco-Maciej Sulecki DAZN undercard from Dignity Health Sports Center in Carson, California.
“Finally excited to announce that I will be fighting for the WBC Interim Super Flyweight title,” Fuchs posted on social media. “Been waiting for this chance to get to the next level. Thanks @matchroomboxing for making this happen.”
Los Angeles’ Ruiz (16-0-1, 8 knockouts) attempts the first defense of the interim WBC title she’s held for nearly two years. It serves as a home game for the 35-year-old, who has fought four times outside the 115-pound limit since she claimed the secondary title.
The fight is also a quick turnaround for Ruiz. She defeated Brazil’s Catherine Tacone Ramos via eight-round unanimous decision on July 20 in San Juan de Tibas, Costa Rica. The bout served in supporting capacity to Yokasta Valle’s second-round knockout of Ramandeep Kaur.
It’s also a quick return to the ring for Fuchs, who has kept active through her participation in Team Combat League. The 36-year-old southpaw from Houston is 14-2 on that circuit, where participants fight two one-round bouts per show. All 16 ring TCL ring appearances (eight shows) have come in 2024 while awaiting a scheduled fight.
Fuchs (3-0, 1 KO) has not fought in a sanctioned pro bout in more than 14 months.
Her last official fight was an 20 eight-round points win over Indeya Smith last June 20 in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was Fuchs’ only fight of 2023, after twice fighting in 2022 on shows featuring her best friend and then-unbeaten 130-pound titlist Mikaela Mayer (19-2, 5 KOs).
Fuchs—a mental health advocate who battles with OCD—is the first member from the 2020 U.S. Olympic boxing squad to compete for any variation of a major title.

PRESS RELEASE: SUGAR NUNEZ TO FACE MIGUEL MARRIAGA THIS WEEKEND
Eduardo ‘Sugar’ Nunez will face Miguel Marriaga to lead the undercard on Saturday August 31st, when Diego Pacheco headlines against Maciej Sulecki at Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles, live worldwide on DAZN. Nunez (27-1, 27 KOs) extended his 100 percent KO record with a career-best performance in February, entering enemy territory in Tajikistan to take out former world title holder Shavkhatdzon Rakhimov in the eleventh round of their IBF 130-pound final eliminator. Nunez, age 27, will take this fight rather than sitting and waiting for his mandatory shot at Anthony Cacace.
Marriaga (31-7 26 KOs) is out to derail those plans, and in doing so, the Colombian can stake his own claim for a fourth world title shot, having previously lost to Nicholas Walters, Oscar Valdez and Vasiliy Lomachenko for world honors at 126 and 130 pounds.
“I am happy and motivated by our commitment at the door, against the former contender for the world title on three occasions and adding that we will make our debut in the United States,” said Nunez. I know he is a strong fighter with a lot of experience but that motivates me even more to arrive in the best condition. We will be ready to go out with our hands raised on August 31st.”
“This is a huge opportunity for me to put myself back into position amongst the elite of the division,” said Marriaga. “Sugar is a very good and strong fighter, but I feel great, and I am going to give it everything I have come August 31st.”

Chev 3-0 up, but The Pit Bull is clearly heavy-handed and dangerous all the while he's standing...

Pacheco KO's Sulecki in the 6th with a sensational left hook downstairs, positive enough start from Sulecki looked dangerous with the lead left hook counter, was showing he was up for it unlike the Andrade fight but Pacheco tried to establish the jab, was having more success each passing round, then he began landing the right hand and was finding a home for it, by the 5th he was getting on top of Sulecki and hurting him with it, still the 6th round landed a perfect left to the body, Sulecki went down fast and you knew he had zero chance of making the count

When Eddie signed up that initial load of Americans when he started promoting over in the US I thought straight away after seeing 2 fights that Pacheco was going to be very good and a possible World title winner. Same with Ray Ford and Ammo Williams and sure enough those are the three from his first crop that have made it. He signed a lot of chaff as well and the words ‘you can’t polish a turd’ rang ever true with that lot.

Judge Jerry Cantu way out of sync with the other 2 in both the Fuchs and Clarke fights.
Didn't see those fights but makes you wonder what was going on.

Eduardo ‘Sugar’ Nunez is set to fight Miguel Marriaga on Saturday, August 31st, as part of the undercard at Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles, with Diego Pacheco headlining. Nunez (27-1, 27 KOs) recently knocked out Shavkhatdzon Rakhimov, keeping his perfect KO record intact. Instead of waiting for his mandatory title shot, he's stepping into the ring against Marriaga.
Marriaga (31-7, 26 KOs) is determined to spoil Nunez’s plans and earn another shot at a world title.
Nunez said, “I’m ready for this challenge, and excited to make my U.S. debut.”
Marriaga added, “This is my chance to prove I’m still a top contender. I’m going all out on August 31st.
