Justis Huni vs Troy Pilcher

Tomorrow morning on DAZN from Australia, Huni squaring off against fellow unbeaten heavy Pilcher, Huni coming off that good win over Lerena on the Joshua/Ngannou card, got hurt but won a well deserved decision, Huni also got a points win over Tabiti, both fellas blown up cruisers but still good going for 9-0,
Pilcher has 7 KOs in his 9 wins, he avenged a draw by 1st round KO, incredibly he's coming off a points win over Renald Quinlan

Oh yes, tuning in, tho had no idea who these Hw were until 24 hours ago
Main support at 11 I guess the rest of the under card I can probably give a miss I think

Wow, a two round war, both landing bombs, Huni puts together a devastating combo and takes out Pilcher in the second, ref jumps in as Pilch defenceless. Body shots paved the way before he switched to the chin.
Troy looks like a large version of Billy Joe Saunders, or maybe a small version these days, he really gave it a go, with some big hooks crashing home, but Huni was the bigger stronger man

That finish was pretty spectacular tbf, that last right hand that Huni landed was a bit of a poor man's Mercer/Morrison, Huni gets hit easily mind, in all fairness Pilcher put it on him, Huni's body work was good, it was what got Pilcher wilting before the end, nice little 2 round war,

Huni kinda struggled with the crazy pressure Troy was putting on, but I guess any time a heavyweight goes all out early it’s tough. Felt out the first, stopped him in the second, if that’s struggling it’s not bad….
Huni needs to stay active and fight some known names.
I would like to see him fight Otto or Whyte or wardly or efe if he is out of Australia. Or Dempsey or hemi if he is in Australia… or fisher either…

Did'nt get to watch it , whats your thoughts on Huni , he seems to hav a bit of talent , but do you think he hits hard enough to keep the monsters of him , not sure myself wether he's ready to step up yet , but suppose he will have to sooner rather than later

ive seen huni amateur fights where he boxes and moves really nicely. as a pro he's become more of a pressure fighter and slugger though, which im not sure he has the power or chin for at the higher levels. he's very fit at least though

My thoughts are he makes things harder than he should sometimes… but without lights out power I guess your going to have to end up in a war now and then if someone just wants to trade…
As a prospect I am still a bit on the fence. I was very pro huni early days but he seems a bit to east to hit, and his power just isn’t quite enough. But he does have great hand speed and punch variety..
I think he is at the point where it’s time to step up (I guess he did with lenera)… not to world levle, but In with solid guys. He is 25 and fought a couple of top 50s so he isn’t doing badly, id just like to see him get in the top 15 conversation and stay there (he is probably only just out of it really)

good post. Decent article covering prospects in this week's BN and it features Huni, definitely has time on his side and seems a good fella too, very respectful towards Lerena after his circumstances in the lead up to their fight.
