So Canelo has priced himself out of the Crawford and Benavidez fights, even for the Saudi's. No doubt he's therefore ducking them.







Who does he even fight after Berlanga? His manager has mentioned fighting in Japan but there's no logical opponent for him to face in Japan.

Mbilli? Andrade? Iglesias? Jermall? Eubank? Sheeraz? Alimkhanuly?

None of these stand out as names that improve his legacy so what is he doing with the twilight years of his career?

- Cashing out his legacy. Only fight the people want to see is Benavidez in an all Mexican WBC LH Interim bout wherever brings the most $$$.

Nobody wants to see him get beat again by Bivol though more than a few want to see him KOed by Beter who has because of his age and injuries has become a beatable fighter.

Not a ducker, but an exploiter.

I would love Mbilli or Charlo fight if he can get past Berlanga. But i dont really believe he will fight 3rd time in 2024.

Seriously. I can understand why he doesn't want to fight Crawford; aside from the money, which he has more than enough of already, it adds nothing to his legacy if he wins - but destroys his legacy if the unthinkable and he loses.

You cannot argue with such clear pristine logic as he presents here.

He's absolutely right not to care either way what Canelo thinks of the way he does business.

He only wants the biggest fights possible and it's obvious that Canelo doesn't.


Many, many people don't particularly care of the way Canelo does his business.

Canelo is now a bit player focussed on syphoning off as much monies as he can from his loyal and devoted fans.

But not for much longer.
