Good way to earn more money for GGG, but I don't think he has any chances against Crawford at this point. Can he even comfortably make 160 ?

GGG vs craw at 168 is a pretty cool fight… but it’s also kinda shit…
Problem is it’s weight advantage vs age/activity advantage…
Whoever wins won’t get any actual praise, it will just be they beat an old man or they beat a lightweight…

GGG loses every round. He looked well and truly past it in his last fight against Canelo two years ago. Stay retired

G is old now and he is rusty but if the money are right then why not? 160, 164? Craw ain't a spring chicken anymore too. He didn't look spectacular at 154 and he didn't even fight the top dogs like Fundora or Tszyu.

He also didn't fight an inactive old man who is just there for the paycheck.
If GGG were to take the fight he will be showing up to collect an unexpected large payday and that's it.
That's all he did in his last fight........showed up for the payday and made no visible attempt to win.

Big money are much, much better when you are healthy. Its easy to comment sitting in an armchair in front of the computer. G gave us some top-notch action packed fights.

GGG = ATG. That's why there are big money fights out there for him whenever he wants. I think he's moved on now though. That was the last I heard.

Absolutely! 27 y/o prime Canelo could not defeat a 35 y/o version of GGG, even with Byrd and Trella judging that fight. lol

He did.
Doesn't change the fact that he showed up to collect a paycheck and nothing else in his last fight.
Anybody that thinks he would do something beyond showing up for a paycheck against Crawford is kidding themself.
I hope they didn't offer enough to get GGG in a ring again.
He doesn't want to be or need to be in the ring but everybody has a price.

On one side of the coin, This would be a perfect tune up bout for Crawford, before the still very possible showdown versus Canelo.
On the other side of the coin, Seeing GGG getting outboxed and beaten up Would be Quite Sad though.
GGG at best, could turn the clock back a few years, and at least hang in there bravely and go the distance.
Rocky Balboa style.
Unfortunately, in this modern day and age of paranoid refs, I see the ref likely stepping in and stopping it, around the 9th or 10th round, or maybe GGG's corner throw in the towel, slightly past the mid rounds.

Think most would give GGG a punchers chance if nothing else , but facts are Crawford would of sparred bigger heavy hitters and done well chin wise , if he did'nt they would'nt move up , so assuming Crafords chin is going to stand up GGG is just going to be too slow , to old , and just not motivated in anything but the money , going out there to not get hurt , and survive , this i think he's capable of doing , but would i pay to see it NO WAY
I want to see Crawford and Boots

I think G is still staying in decent shape and ready for a big money fight. For 60-70 M's I think G would fight Bud at 160. 60-40 fight in favor of Bud.

Crawford still green above 147. At least GGG's age and ring rust offer more counterbalance to any weight challenge Crawford faces. Canelo is just a bridge too far -- too big and still too effective and strong.

His timing was off at least three years ago, no way he is going to catch Crawford. Punchers chance only works if you can land it.

Yeah G is old and rusty but also Bud is 36 y/o and a possible move up at 160 lbs for a fight against a still tough-hard working fighter like GGG would not be an easy task. Bud was having a tough fight at 154 against smaller version of GGG. I'd like to see this fight and see GGG getting the victory. That would solidify his legacy.

Bud will be turning 37 in September.
Golovkin is 42 or 43..?
It should be At least somewhat interesting. Especially the first few rounds, and the last round(If it reaches that point)
I just think that Triple G will likely remain in a very safety first defensive mode, in order to go the distance.
He just might go for the knockout in the 11th and/or 12th round.
It will largely depend on what his take is on Crawford's Punching Power.
I'm sure that he's initially perceiving Crawford to be a very heavy handed/very dangerous opponent.
Triple G will very likely play things very extra cautiously, especially during the first few rounds.
My prediction is Crawford wins by a decision. 7-5, 8-4, 7-5.

You miss one important thing. G's style ages much better, while Bud's style don't ages that well, plus the weight and the age of almost 37. IMO G's sledgehammer jab, chin and his overall strength are still there.

Isn't Triple G's style quite the Predominintly Brawler style though..?
Whereas Bud's style seems to be inherently that of a technical counter puncher, and a heavy handed one at that...
"BHop" is obviously the proverbial prototype of "The Ultimate Aging Well style of a Boxer", and he had a Very Counter Punching based approach, along with being a highly proficient clincher.
Terrance can obviously be naturally great at clinching up, if need be, since he's actually an avid proficient wrestler aside from being a very successful boxer. He's got a legitimate wrestling background. This is a huge bonus for him as a boxer because like I stated, it'd make him naturally great at clinching tactics if they need to be applied/incorporated, if the situation arises in any of his boxing bouts.

I'd say GGG is more of a boxer-puncher using a lot his jab and his left hook that likes to engage in fights. Last fight of Bud showed that there are weight classes for a reason. Madrimov had 10 pro fights against some stiffs and man he put up a fight vs Bud. If I'd be GGG and the money was good I'd take this fight @ 160. GGG has nothing to lose.

GGG has and always had a chin first defense which has never aged well in history
No useful boxer has ever had a problem hitting GGG.
Hitting GGG without GETTING hit was always the problem.
Crawford will figure that out...........especially if GGG is throwing punches at the same rate he did in his last fight.
If GGG still had that jab where was it in his last fight when he was facing a one handed opponent??

nope, even at his age G is a very strong mofo. Bud has never faced a very strong-big fighter like GGG. People forget that 27 prime Canelo could not defeat a 35 GGG, even with judges like Byrd and Trella! Bud had problems against a B level 154 pounder with only 10 pro fights against some stiffs. Keep that in mind. There are weight classes for a reason and Bud is gonna be 37.

35 year old GGG no longer exists, he is nothing close to that guy.
If he was this thread would not exist because the alleged offer also would not exist.

This is who I see it. Carword is unlikely to take such a risk, and if he does he can get knocked out.
He will protect that 0.
