I've been researching Scott's career via New Jersey and Florida newspapers. What are the board's thoughts on Scott having been allowed to fight in prison in particular and also should such a program be reinstituted ?

In addition, Matthew Saad Muhammad is on record as having said he wouldn't fight Scott because it wouldn't be right for an inmate to be champion.

I like the idea of boxing in the joint. Let these guys develop a skill. They got these guys learning how to cut hair, then they get out and can’t get licensed. Plus boxing teaches discipline. At least that’s the idea. Definitely was a huge factor in turning around the lives of Hopkins and quawi. Now, saying that, if a guys in there for harming a child or woman, throw him in a hole and forget about the hump. No privileges.

It was good for boxing for a while because Scott was fighting the very best contenders in a unique setting. His win over Eddie Gregory is huge and then came outstanding victories over Richie Kates, Yaqui Lopez, Jerry Celestine and even own Bunny Johnson, who was coming off a brutal four-round knockout of Rab Affleck in defence of his British title. They were world class fights, world class wins. However, the thought of Scott challenging for and actually winning a world title made people uncomfortable and I have a feeling that TV and prison officials were never going to let that happen. Once Jerry Martin did everyone a favour by flooring and outscoring Scott in May 1980, the man's last two fights were less interesting but boxing programs in prison are surely a good thing and letting men fight in prison is OK too, if it can be arranged.
