Ya , very interesting fight. I gotta lean towards Evander. I’m a fan of Frazier but the real deal was damn tough inside also. Not gonna clinch and hold like Ali did. He’s gonna rip uppercuts. Joe may get stopped. I always thought Marciano vs Dempsey would be a war.

I am scared for Evander Holyfield of taking those wicked left hook shots by Smokin' Joe Frazier. I am picturing those left hooks in The Real Deal's face.

Holyfield to me could win this fight by mixing it up in boxing and slugging it out in some rounds. He cannot be slugging it out with Frazier the whole fight. He must mix it up like he did against Riddick Bowe in their second meeting (The Fan Man fight) to win.

Remember, Joe Frazier is not Dwight Muhammad Qawi (Dwight Braxton).

How about Joe Frazier vrs Mike Tyson ?

I would add Lennox Lewis v Riddick Bowe and George Foreman v Mike Tyson.
Both contests nearly happened but didn't unfortunately.

Larry Holmes vs Mike Tyson prime for prime is a great styles match for me.

Holyfield would've made a tremendous opponent for Ali, just as Frazier did.

Joe Louis vs Jack Dempsey would be a particularly interesting historical fantasy matchup.

Oh and as for the OP question. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a fight between Heavyweight ATG's that would guarantee action any more than Holyfield vs Frazier would.

So who do I like? Well, I like Holyfield ( rounds 1-6 ) early and Frazier late. ( rounds 9 - 15 )

Great fight but bad matchup for Joe. Evander would land too many uppercuts and big hooks on the inside. He’s not gonna hold like Ali did. Evander is gonna let loose.

Holyfield probably by late stoppage. Bigger punch, better chin and defense. Frazier's stamina might be a little better, but won't be enough.

I wonder how Frazier would have compared if he was using the same 'supplements' as Evander?

Agree on chin and defence. Not sure on punch.

Interesting one. You never know for sure what actually they're taking and how it enhances them.

Frazier punched much harder, especially with his left hook.
Holyfield's defense was always his weakness. Frazier at least moved his head a lot, so he was not easy to hit.

Holyfield's biggest advantage would be accuracy. He was one of the most accurate punchers ever. Holyfield was also versatile. He could box from the outside at times and go inside at times.

This fight would have a lot of action and would be very competitive. It is arguably the ultimate fantasy match up.
