There is nothing in Massey's record to suggest he deserves this fight.
Poor matchmaking in my humble opinion.

Jai Opetaia is a bad man and would beat most put in front of him. I don’t think Massey is too bad. His couple of losses have been to pretty handy ones. He might be able to test Jai out a bit but we will see.

He Lost a unanimous decision to Joseph Parker and even took a couple of rounds off him. We know what Parker can do. And the other bloke who beat him only lost once and that was to Chris Billam Smith. I don’t think it’s that bad a match up but nothing would surprise me with Jai. He can really fight.

And Jai Opetaia is a bad man. I just don’t think it was that bad a matchup. He got a few rounds in but it doesn’t surprise me that Jai won. He’ll take out most Cruisers and probably quicker.

If he stays in Cruiserweight it would have to be Giberto Ramirez or Chris Billam Smith. There is talk of him going to heavyweight eventually. He can really fight so anything is possible.

From the British reports on the fight, the British boxing followers expected more from Massey. It seems they underestimated Opetaia.

I think Jai would do well against Ramirez or Smith. he has a long reach and is very strong. So far he has been unstoppable.

91 percent in the british section picked opetaia in the fight poll, most by stoppage. jai was overwhelming fave with british bookies too. i dont think many brits expected anything but a jai win
