He'll give it ago and hopefully get paid well for doing so.

I like Allen but I daresay he's missed the boat, I'd be impressed if he can hang with Fisher who lets his hands go from the start, Allen's always been a slow starter, can't be shipping too many shots early doors or the ref will stop it even if he's still up for it


As much as I like Fisher and even the whole dad/bosh things good, doesn't wind me up like it does a lot of people but I'd like to see Allen win, he's a top lad, used to be funny as fck on Twitter and his YouTube videos are class, he knows his stuff even with the other guys who he's not fought/sparred, proper boxing man is Dave, his dedication will always be called into question but that's something he'll have to live with himself, let's hope he comes prepped for a bill like this

Id imagine so, Allen's a very good body puncher, id like to see him start quick, get close, keep going downstairs, whether he can is another thing, he doesn't want to be standing tucking up letting Fisher tee off on him, he'll have no problem landing and he's a hard hitter and good finisher, I don't give Allen much chance here tbh

On one hand Allen , may well be a likable character , and we all want to see likable people do well , so therfore i would like him to go there , have a good fight do well in it and get paid extremly well , its nice to see the good guys have a win , in the ring and financaly

But on the other hand , , he's past his best , well past his best , not going anywhere , starting to show signs in his speech , and definetly not being brought in to win , then its a ppv show , its a top ranking fight night , and when punters are being asked to tune in and buy ppv , they don't need to be dished up part time boxers , who are well past there used by date , , just to be used has cannon fodder , , its taking the piss and showing him disrespect , using him has a punch bag , Some fighters will just carry on and on andon , these guys need to be protected from themselves and not allowed , Allen by his own admision never took the game serious enough , .

Alls it shows is how promoters and managers can become leaches and could'nt give a flying fooook about the health of boxers who they quite often know very well , Not to mention in a way its ripping off the punters

Don’t hate Dave’s chances here. Sure he could get blitzed and stopped, but traditionally he is a very tough fight.

He also has just enough coming back to keep Johnny honest. His jab is a bit better than journeyman level, his looping right can be decent, and his left rip to the body is solid for this level. Add in some toughness and this is Johnys hardest fight yet by a mile (on paper).

Mentally too I don’t know if Johnny will be able to swarm like he sometimes does. Cause he knows good chance he won’t get Dave out of there… and I don’t think he wants to be dragged into deep waters gassed…

Like em both, but would love to see Dave lucus brown Jonny… and if Johnny gets a bit to wild it’s possible. (Johnny is young and fit and could wel make The count)

I like this fight. But only if Allen gets into tip top shape. If he looks anything less than his top weight and condition he’s getting battered. Fisher is young, hard hitting, aggressive from the first bell. Remember he told us he was in the best shape ever agaisnt Clarke and looked awfully soft.

I like this fight too. Dave looks like he's been training and has started camp with Jamie Moore which is hopefully a good sign.

I think Allen has a chance here, Fisher is younger and fresher but he hasn't really shown me anything that says he's levels above Dave Allen.

One of these fighters is in the ascendancy, the other with respect is far from it.

Suspect Allen willl be brave as is usual but end up soaking up too much with not a lot going back.

But they do need to keep stepping it up for Fisher. Dave will provide a challenge, at least I hope so.

Allen fights at a pedestrian pace and is semi-retired. Fisher is gonna be way too powerful, fast, explosive and relentless.

I understand Fisher has had injuries? But this kind of inactivity and cotton wool matchmaking can only suggest one thing....the Romford bull isn't really that good.

why is Allen pretty much retired? He is 32, decently active, and seems to be training as much or more than any other period of his carrer, and has the chance at a full camp... Its a tough fight, but if Allens motivated its not like fisher has beaten much better guys...

Bar his fight vs Wardley, he's pretty much paid to box or boxed for free since he came back, he signed back with his first promoter Dennis Hobson, but that contract has now expired. He was very honest in that he was doing those fights to tick over until he got the call for this/ a similar fight. He was down to fight on a Wale show vs TBA but that's been pulled for this. Allen is training with Jamie Moore and posting updates and seems to have his head in the game. I know that's all been said before though.

Horrible fight. Allen is useless.
