What does this even mean

In a thread that is now locked….
We are told…” We record all the titles and if you subscribe you can see them.”
So, we have to pay to see that Roberto Duran v. Ken Buchanan was a title fight when scrolling through Duran’s history….is that even true?

I don't understand that either.
Hopefully someone can clarify that statement for us.

It means the records side of this place is becoming just as pointless as the forum.

I subscribed and you can see all the legacy titles (not that I'm too bothered about them, but no ads is great). It's only a dollar a month, after all these years I feel glad I can contribute to this site

"It's only a dollar and then they actually give you the accurate information" Is not exactly a selling point to me.

I don't think it's inaccurate, I think I just get more by subscribing, but hey man no disrespect, you live you want to live

But it is inaccurate, if you go to someone like Roberto Durans page and it looks like he was never in a title fight until Ray Leonard.

That ain't inaccurate, maybe incomplete but it doesn't list the color of his shorts or the cutman either. I could care less about the WBA, I'm a fight fan, only interested in who fought who and not how the fight was marketed to the general public. But that's me, you do you, no disrespect brother, I'm just an old geezer sounding off

This site was extremely useful
Now for it to be useful you must pay.
In basic terms. Screw the people who have been here for years

I figured after all these years using the site I owed it something and a buck a month is fine by me. I guess you figured after all these years the site owes you something. Just different generations, looking at life in a different way. Not saying I am right, not saying I am wrong

i mean the site is still hugely useful without paying. unless for some reason you only ever came on boxrec to look up wba titles

You seem to be criticizing the forum in quite a few posts, Bobby. There's an easy answer, you know.

Some people just love to moan. If you don't like it, don't use it. Buy some old Ring Record Books.

If youre an old geezer...you know that titles mattered 50 years ago...so the fact that a young Duran went to Madison Square Garden and beat a world champion matters....and should be reflected by the supposed "recordkeeper of boxing"

Why pay for WBA titles when WBC, IBF, WBO etc. are free?

Hes in a pissing match with the wba clearly
So to avoid an antitrust suit you can still see wba title but to piss them off he put it behind a paywall
