Started now, Shokichi Iwata vs Jairo Noriega for vacant WBO Light Flyweight title first up, ringwalk now, Iwata 13-1 only loss was a decision to Jonathan Gonzalez for this same title, 14-0 Spaniard Noriega is the European Flyweight champ, beat Angel Moreno for the title on the Metcalf/Lejarraga card a couple years ago

Iwata KOs Noriega in the 3rd against the run of play, I had Noriega winning the first 2 rounds and the 3rd was looking his best, he was busier, landing the clubbing shots around the side of Iwata's guard then about 20 seconds left Iwata hit Noriaga with an uppercut then a punch to back of head knocked him down, no warning just a count, Iwata stayed calm and nailed Noriaga with a big left which dropped him hard at the bell, ref didn't even count, good KO from Iwata but Noriaga every right to feel aggrieved with the first KD

Up next Seigo Yuri Akui defends his WBA Flyweight crown against 25-1 Charunchai Charunphak of Thailand

Akui wins a SD I had him ahead 115-113 as did one judge, a judge had it same for Charunphak and deciding judge had it 117-111 for Akui, good close competitive fight, no drama but fought at a good pace, Akui showing the better jab, spent mostly as aggressor but Charunphak's body work was better, both took turns to control the rounds, both put shots together well, I had it all even after 10 but Akui pulled it out the bag in the last 2 for me

Teraji stops Rosales at the start of the 11th on the advice of the doctor, damaged nose, was bleeding bad for a few rounds, it did look like the end might be near, it was a domination from Teraji, boxed very well, rocked Rosales with a big right in the 3rd and I thought he'd get to him earlier, Rosales was never in it, tried switching stances but couldn't make his physical advantages count, Teraji peppered him with rights all night and body shots, pressured constantly, feinting, keeping Rosales on edge, he did crank the heat up just before the end, Rosales was looking spent, as soon as round 11 began the ref called the doc and it was waved off, Teraji looking good at flyweight, he beats Akui imo

Inoue and Tsutsumi serving up a cracker here, Tsutsumi is game as hell

Only just turned on, looks a proper battle.

Only saw rounds 7-12 so obviously can't give a proper opinion, but Tsutsumi definitely won nearly all the rounds I saw and also scored a (controversial) knockdown, so surely he's won it?

Deserved win for Tsutsumi, had it 115-112, just an absolute slugfest, Inoue began quicker, was walking the steaming in Tsutsumi with some big single shots, especially the uppercuts but Tsutsumi just kept throwing with bad intentions and started getting to Inoue, body shots were sickening, both men shipped a lot of punches but took them well Tsutsumi had Inoue down in the 10th, a left hook has him crashing into the ropes, bit messy but the right call, Inoue fought at good pace , was insanely tough but he couldn't hang with Tsutsumi down the stretch , both men were slugging it out all the time, excellent fight and thougroughly deserved for Tsutsumi

tsutsumi has unreal fitness, was the same in his amazing war vs anaguchi (rip). looked out of his depth the first few rounds but just kept grinding and grinding and the other dude couldnt keep up

i notice casimero fought in japan the other day too, wonder if he could be in line for inoue next year

although he missed weight!

Was that Tsutsumi Anaguchi was fighting when he died?

Edit, just checked i remember watching that, i thought I recognized Tsutsumi's name but never knew, that was an incredible fight, tragic circumstances obviously but Tsutsumi is wild
