That was a very oddly judged fight. But what is the concensus?

beterbiev 115-114 for me

to highlight how close it was .........

the boxrec averaged fan score is also 115-114 bert at the moment....as close as a win can get.

the poll in the british has it 29 bivol - 22 bert - 11 draw. ....so whichever fighter you take, most people didnt think they won.

there were so many rounds where even just a little more from either guy woulda pushed the round their way. i struggle to see 7 clear for either. i did think bert closed stronger and took the final 3 though,

difference i see in the reaction, is more ppl scoring for bert see how it can go either way, while a lotta bivol scorers seem to think it was a robbery, which i dont agree with

Bivol 7-5.

Draw. If i should pick a winner, it would be Beterbiev.

I had Beterbiev edging it 7-5. A draw would have been understandable also. I gave Beterbiev points for the punches Bivol was partially blocking because of the damage they were doing to Bivols face. I don't score those punches as much as clean effective punches but when they are damaging your face they should be worth something. I was however impressed that Bivol did trade as much as he did at times. He's the real deal and not just a guy who moves and boxes. A rematch should be made. 2 solid fighters for sure.

Pretty much as expected if you followed their respective career.
Bivol took an early lead with jab and outboxed Berterbiev in early rounds. Bertebiev often takes a few rounds to figure out opponent and times himself. Bertbiev will destroy your moral as flight move forward as he always put pressure.
However didn't expect Bivol to trade as much as he did and Beterbiev to boxe instead of brawling.
Strategy of always punch from Beterbiev to counter Bivol's power jab was also a surprise but paid off.
At the end, I had Beterbiev up 7 to 5 in rounds

This fight reminds me of Leonard V Hagler in some ways.

A close fight that could be interpreted in different ways, thus leading to different scoring.

When I watched it live, I thought Beterbiev edged it, but when I watched it a 2nd time, I thought Bivol edged it.

Either way it was a close fight and I wouldn't quibble about any close scores either way.

Clear win for Bivol.

Bivol barely made it out of a couple rounds late. Yes, he scored throughout but it was all of his back foot and retreating. Had it been 15 rounder, we wouldn’t have seen a decision. I think that there would be more controversy had Bivol got the decision.

Btw, have you ever seen a boxer’s eye get beat up like that from his own glove hitting his face in defense? Crazy.

Close fight but Artur was the much dominant and stronger fighter. His powerful punches did damage even through Bivol's high guard. Bivol should've moved more , jabbing , right hand and grab. Artur is a very, very strong fighter but also he knows very well how to put himself in the right position for the attack/counters.

At this section Beterbiev leads confidently. At the British forum it's Bivol with about the same result.

On the site it's 7-5 for Bert in rounds and 113,83 vs 113,79 for Bivol on points.

Bivol by a round or two. Haven’t got my scorecard but I remember thinking it’s a Bivol victory or a draw. Great fight.

There really was not loser, but in my opinion Beterbiev won it by a round. 7-5

I scored live rbr and had it 6-6. Haven't rewatched it, but my general feeling immediately afterwards was that Bert had more success overall and certainly finished much the stronger.

I had it a draw. My 2 friends I was watching the fight with each had Bivol up 7-5.

I felt Bivol actually landed the more eye catching shots, but Beterbiev was so good at cutting off the ring and touching Bivol every chance he got.

Alot of close rounds throughout. But those championship rounds were very critical and Beterbiev had already broke Bivol down and seemed Bivol was just trying to see the final bell at that point.

I watched it twicw scored it a draw both times. It was that close. No robbery just super close fight

Had it for Beterbiev.
Bivol did well in the opening 2-3 rounds, but Beterbiev had him on the run from there.
There were some close rounds but not enough to sway it Bivols way.

I though Bivol, just pipped it, but we are talking a round or so.

Beterbiev winning, I can also see that, too. Threw more and was very aggresive and was turning up the heat, from the midway point.

I just liked the slicker movement, more accurate punching and general ring generalship of Bivol, even though Beterbiev was forcing the action as was pretty relentless, if less accurate.

Bivol was very good on his feet, his positioning the whole A game of boxing on the retreat, impressive.
Bivol has mastered a great part of that and paid a price for it.
Incredible performance in a great bout.
This is one for books.

beter vs bivol actually was that close a fight that the judges of canelo vs bivol were paid to make it seem like it was.

if u wanna see a clear as day attempted robbery rewatch canelo/bivol.

bivol just didn't let em' take that last round from him and the fight from him. but man did they try to rob him. still one of the most criminally wrong scorecards ever. winning every single fvckin' round but needing to dominate the 12th to avoid a draw. crazy shit.
