this could actually work. personally i dont include the top 5 in this (Fury, Usyk, Dubois, AJ, Parker)... but can you imagine a 16 guy tournament featuring -

Kabayel
Bakole
Hrgovic
H Fury
Wardley
Zhang
Ruiz
Huni
Chisora
Pulev
Sanchez
Miller
Wilder
Franklin
Fisher
Joyce

Those 16 are off the top of my head, but 3x3 minute fights and unseeded initial draw would be a very very entertaining evenings action. Come on Turki, make it happen. It would only work if the governing bodies didnt get involved and it didnt affect fighters rankings within those bodies.

I quite enjoyed the ESPN boxcino tournament a while back. I'd like to see something like that again

Why not 10 rounders ? 3 months apart ?

And with a 'wooden spoon' titel for 1st round losers - that would be fun. :box:

If Bakole faces Dubois, I'd do something like this...

Bracket 1:
Heat 1: Zhang vs Kabayel (Stand-in: Vianello)
Heat 3: Chisora vs Miller (Stand-in: Franklin)

Heat 7: Hunter vs Sanchez (Stand-in: Pero)
Heat 5: Okolie vs Wallin (Stand-in: Sirenko)

Heat 1 vs Heat 2
Heat 3 vs Heat 4

Bracket 2:
Heat 8: Wardley vs Huni (Stand-in: Zakhozhyi)
Heat 2: Wilder vs Ajagba (stand-in: Anderson)

Heat 4: Jalolov vs Whyte (Stand-in: Gassiev)
Heat 6: Joyce vs Hrgovic (Stand-in: Ruiz)

Heat 5 vs Heat 6
Heat 7 vs Heat 8

Address him as Your Excellency and swear an oath of allegiance and maybe you'll be talking

Great idea but I think it's asking too much.

This would be fun but I just don’t see it happening.

Time and time again we’ve seen that tournaments don’t work in boxing, shame really.

Well actually they don’t work with world titles in there

How much would it have to make to cover the costs of paying all those guys what they would want? I doubt the numbers would work.

We go from extremely optimistic to extremely pessimistic every week/month.
