Tommy Fury to fight former UFC star Darren Till in January as he returns to ring for first time since October 2023

Tommy Fury to return to ring for first time since October 2023 as he takes on former UFC star Darren Till in Manchester in January; Fury, who beat KSI in his last fight, vows to show Till that he is "out of his depth" in the boxing game; Till won 18 of his 24 MMA bouts

Tommy Fury will take on former UFC star Darren Till in Manchester on January 18 as he returns to the boxing ring for the first time in over a year.

Fury, the half-brother of former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, has won all 10 of his professional bouts, most recently in October 2023 when he beat KSI via unanimous decision.

The 25-year-old's previous victory came against Jake Paul, who this weekend defeated Mike Tyson in the 58-year-old's first contest since 2005.

Till, 31, won 18 of his 24 mixed martial arts contests, including 10 via knockout.

Fury said of the fight early next year at the Co-op Live: "It feels great to finally say that I am back! I have been out of the ring far too long.

"I've been getting itchy knuckles so I am thrilled to be able to announce my return, headlining a massive event in my hometown and in front of my fans.

"Till had a good UFC career but he's stepping into the boxing ring now, against a proper pro, and he will quickly realise that he is out of his depth and this is not the game for him.

"I plan on dealing with Till in conclusive fashion and then chasing even bigger fights in 2025."

Till said simply: "January 18 is my time, my night."

Fury by stoppage or he should stop him if it's Queensbury Rules.

If Till is now boxing, he should get a few fights in before taking on Fury for it to be interesting.

He's serious enough to beat Till

And just look at all those 'serious' boxers willing to throw their 'legacy' at the Paul gravy train for a chance of earning some of his dollars - boxing is turning into the Paul clown show or it is in the light heavy division - Paul is their best chance of a pension and even fighting Tommy Fury gets them some action.

Tommy never knocks anyone out. He didn’t even look at any point close to knocking KSI out ffs.

Yes, but he isn't fighting Till at MMA so it's irrelevant.

Till has been training at rotunda for a few years now.

Not necessarily great credentials but bare knuckle boxer and ex-k1 fight Paul Venis sparred with Till and said that Till was handy.

Credit to Till, he's had a fine career in MMA and rose to a level in his sport that Pantomime Tommy can only dream of

Its boxing and the only losers are the mugs who pay to watch it , I don't complain about these things , just shake my head in amazement at the people who are willing to hand over there hard earned to watch such crap . If netflix started showing 24/7 flash gordon re runs and bugs bunny cartoons , , what would i do , easy , refuse to pay, send it back , yet people will pay to be disapointed and feel ripped off with this stuff , at least Jake Paul gives a show .

Mind you i would pay to see a tag team match with Tommy and his Dad , against say Till and the big irish fella with the blonde hair who reecently challenged big john , can't remembr his name , someone will remind me

Till throws nothing in fights. A horror to watch. He will lose a decision while throwing virtually nothing all night. Billy big bollo*ks act afterward. Maybe not having to worry about wrestling will make him open up but it just goes against his natural instinct I think. I hope he comes in and goes for it. These gimmick fights are terrible spectacles but they keep getting made.

I think it's part of the DAZN subscription, which is even more annoying if it is. That money could have been spent on proper boxing, not this sideshow element.
If there are people mug enough to watch it, they should be mug enough for a PPV

Will say , even though i could stream it for free , I will not , because it would mean getting up out of bed early , and guess what i usually love my British shows , because i'm an early riser , love it when i get up early , , come across the british fights . and usually really enjoy watching them in peice and quiet , missis is in bed , just me and me dog both lay on the couch only move to make a coffee . But for this one i would force myself back to sleep , DON'T WATCH Don't encourage

This is a misfits fight, nothing more nothing less. Fury is now a novelty act and Till fits that mould too.

I'd rather the water bottle than the headbutting and flipping tables and screaming like a lunatic bit he's done in the past, but it's still bad taste. Sometimes I wonder if he is encouraged to do this stuff just to drum up more interest since Tommy Fury doesn't exactly have much charisma.

Jesus Christ Almighty God bless you all

Yeah seems like Tommy Fury is basically trying to be the British version of one of these YouTube boxers. He may come from a real Boxing family, but Tommy Fury is going more for that novelty act role.

In my opinion (for what its worth) it was Till who came across as a complete bell-end at the press conference and not John Fury (unusually). Till bragging that if he is losing at boxing then he will just kick Tommy in the face and elbow him.

This is why this stuff is a circus, if this fight is (is it?) sanctioned by the BBB of C then dont be surprised if they either make Till apologise or they call the fight off completely.
