Ruiz wins on points.

Either Ruiz hugs and mugs his way to a decision win, or he hugs and mugs his way to a lead before getting KO'd.

I think the matchup favors Wilder 70% of the time, but I can see the possibility of a Ruiz win.

Ruiz could have some success, but Wilder would kayo the clumsy hugger.

I think I respect John Ruiz more than anyone:)

But I also think Wilder finds him with the right hand, sooner or later.

Ruiz didn't have a good defense and was either dropped or hurt several times in his career by lesser punchers than Wilder.

I think he's very underrated because of his style.

I have said the same thing.
He might be the most boring champ ever but he was very effective

Either Ruiz landed jabs, combinations and hugging Wilder to take a decision or Wilder would catch him late with a big right hand.

I think Wilder gets him out of there and pretty early.

Wilder is so lacking in everything, bar one right hand.

Of course Ruiz has been dropped, stopped on a rare few occasions but they against fighters who could actually box, or, at least set shots up.

Wilder telegraphs that right like nobody i have ever seen and of course, it worked on lower tier and much lowe tier, doubt Ruiz would fall for any of that. Haye, very fast (and powerful) 1-2, Tua, fast short left hook, for example. Wilder does not have that kind of skill set and would get exposed a la Parker, I think.

Could be wrong, of course. I just don't think Wilder has enough to beat a solid (decent skill set), spoiling, clever Ruiz.

Wilders power took a hit when fury was dropped by an mma fighter and a cruiserweight

He isnt even the biggest puncher of his era - that easily belongs to zhang

ya zhang is a hell of a banger

even though he drew with forrest, there was one kd in that fight where forrests eyes basically bulged out of his head and the look on his face was 'wtf just hit me' . pparker did the same thing when zhang dropped him and broke his face. dubois teed off on hrgovic but couldnt drop him, but zhang did immediately. but it was a mix of stamina issues and being somewhat lumbering that zhang didnt finish them . and of course zhang cracked joyce's chin and wilders.

if he can hit it, it's biiiig damage
