Hard watching Joe speak now, sounds punch drunk to me. would hate to see him end up like James Toney. Hope the board step in.

When he looks straight ahead his eyes do look a bit red.

Sounds okay to me, but I do agree with others on here that he has taken enough shots to the head and isn't getting any younger- or more defensive.

Honestly, don't see why either wouldn't want it. Both desperately need a win and that's probably the highest profile fight where either will see them self as a favourite. Gives them bragging rights over their grudge should they win.

It will be a very short evening for them both. Wardley will land at will due to his speed and power and Joyce's inability to block anything with his hands. Joyce will be out cold within a few rounds. Joe had a granite chin but it's been cracked twice now, so I am unsure how much he can take.

Thing is with Joe, he has decent boxing skills and decent power, but is just so slow with his hands. Watch his fight with Uysk in the WSB in 2013, he was slow then and is much slower now.

Yes I agree, even just losing can change a fighter but to lose twice to big KOs isn’t going to do him a lot of good. Even his punches don’t seem to have much in them lately. Maybe he was just unlucky to be against someone bigger than himself in Zhang.

Even in many of the fights he’s won he’s taken loads of big shots. Takam was landing bombs on him. Whilst he may have been able to take them then I doubt he would now.

Any fighter that leads with their face, like Joyce, tend not to have long careers.

Once their punch resistance goes, they become sitting ducks.

If I was close to Joyce, I would certainly implore him to retire, but if he isn't going to, he needs to adopt the George Foreman Mk 2 cross arm defence.

Joyce is physically strong like Big George was and desperately slow like him too, so it's a tactic he could possibly successfully employ, but he cannot continue to use his head as a speed bag for his opponents.

I think he's tipsy there. Certainly hope so, I like him a lot. Yoga seems the route, though if he wins he's going to meet someone with a spiteful dig soon enough. I don't want to be watching him from behind a cushion.

Not since David Price has a likeable imposing hw suddenly become a liability after consecutive defeats to the same opponent. Sad to witness. And before he got any of the Turki bonanza.

Still wouldn't rule him out being a Dubois voluntary challenger if he wins his next couple.

He can't continue just running face first into heavyweight punchss, but I would lean towards him just being a bit half pissed here

Unless he can win a high profile fight next time he's out he's not really gonna be looking at a Saudi call up and will end up getting smashed about as a gate keeper

He might get a pay day but at what cost to his well being ? His level is well established now and does he really need to become a punch bag ?

My first thoughts were , he should spend 12 months with a different trainer , someone who concentrates on defence , but then i changed my mind and thought I doubt that any trainer has not seen how bad his defence is and NOT tried to correct it , So really its the you can't teach an old dog , . Joes a really likable fella when intervied , so i do hopw he is has sensible has he is likable and has an exit plan , such has one maybee twoo bigger payday fights if he can get them , then finish , reflexes just not there , comes to everyone , , just that when your a big heavyweight , going in against high level big fellas , you cannot afford to push the envelope .

Hopefully he has familly , freinds , managers , and trainers who can make him see the writings on the wall .

joe at his peek was top 10 for sure. parker, dubois, takam, jennings...... that's a solid resume and he has a big trophy case to show for it
