I know we have some some resourceful boxing minds in here.

Name the fighter that boxed both Peter Jackson & Jack Johnson beside's Jim Jeffries. The key word here is boxed which would include Exhibition's. There's a fighter that even unlike Jeffries actually faced the prime version of both Jackson & Johnson. Jeffries certainly wasn't facing a prime Peter Jackson.
Who's the fighter?

They both fought Jim Jeffords but Jackson fought him in his last fight after the Jeffries fight so Jackson wasnt in his prime.

No some good guess's. Fireman Flynn is an interesting guess. He could have pulled it off since his very first pro fight was at the age of 14 which would be 1893.

Jack O' brien is far too modern to do it.

I'll give a hint here. You gotta get in the correct range for Birthyear. Think pre-1870's. So as a hint here James corbett was 1866 there's a whole group of fighters coming up with Corbett this particular fighter I'm thinking of was a black fighter.
That has to really narrow it down.

I haven't read that Butler did anything with Peter Jackson. It may have happened I just didn't read it. But your in the perfect wheelhouse for birthyear. Joe Butler faced the fighter I'm looking at.
Joe Butler has the same birthyear as James J Corbett. 1866
Simply looking at Boxrec at a research tool with serve you no help in finding the fighter.

I decided to try and figure it out.

Larry Foley an Australian boxing pioneer (we actually have a saying, I’m as happy as Larry, that comes from a comment after his most famous fight) did exhibitions with both Jackson and Johnson. Foley also had exhibitions with Jem Mace and Tommy Burns as well as a no decision fight with Bob Fitzsimmons.

Choynski fought an exhibition with Jackson and knocked out a young Johnson. So it turns out my previous guess was pretty bloody good.

Joe Butler did have an exhibition with Peter Jackson as well as fighting Jack Johnson.

Jim Jeffords fought exhibitions with Jackson and was knocked out by Johnson.

Fitzsimmons had exhibitions with Jackson and was knocked out by Johnson.

I believe Peter Felix may the the answer OP was looking for? Black fighter from the West Indies, claimed to be Jackson’s cousin and Jackson did corner him in some fights, I couldn’t find anything saying that they had exhibitions but it wouldn’t be a long bow to draw that they boxed each other. Felix later fought Johnson and was knocked out in a round, though he was 41 at the time.

As p4p1 stated There was some others Fitz had exhibitions with Jackson but Jackson was rather young & Not quite in his prime.

Joe Butler (born at the perfect time) Also would be a correct answer as His exhibition was in 1892 (jackson at his peak) and He fought Jack Johnson in 1903.

Jeffries faced them both also But Jackson was far removed from being active.
