Jermain Taylor vs Sergio Mora (2015)

After winning the IBF MW belt from Sam Soliman, Taylor was supposed to make a voluntary title defense against Sergio Mora, on February 6th 2015, in Beau Rivage, Biloxi (the site of Taylor's win over Soliman).

About a month before the fight, the fight was scratched due to Taylor getting in a world of legal trouble.

Taylor eventually went to jail and that basically ended his career. Mora fought a durable AB Han as a replacement and won by SD 12.

What could we expect from Taylor-Mora, had it happened? Would it have been Taylor's (likely) last career victory or would Mora become a two-division champ?

I think Mora probably could've beaten Taylor in 2015, but it would've been a competitive fight.

Didn't Mora win a belt in his win over Vernon Forrest?

I stand corrected. You're right. That reign lasted for only 3 months, but he did become a champ.

I'll edit my text.

That is correct. But if I recall, even before the Soliman knee gave up, Taylor fought an OK fight. At least, that's what I remember. I haven't watched that fight since when it happened. Might go back and rewatch it.
