Surprised I haven't noticed this pointed out in here yet.

I was watching YouTube videos yesterday, alluding to this bout soon coming to fruition, likely on Cinco De Mayo(May of 2025).

I already have a prediction if the bout Does in fact ultimately arrive to it's strongly assumed and perceived fruition of occurrence.

I have a Strong feeling that it'll be ruled a Draw.
I'm thinking that Canelo will look like he had the slight edge, but they wind up ruling it a Draw, for two reasons, 1. To preserve Crawford's Zero Losses record, and 2. For them to hopefully agree to have an even Bigger Money Making Rematch.

After all, Boxing IS more of a business than it is an Athletic fighting Sport nowadays. :geek:

Yeah it was obvious that they'd make it as it would sell very good. I have Canelo to win it by UD but imo this is a poor fight bc Bud is a small jr mw and he is 37 y/o. Canelo acted like a pus.sy not fighting Benavidez when Bena still was @ 168.

This fight needs to be at 160 with some kind of rehydration clause for Bud to have a chance. Making this at 168 is just absurd imo. I don't wanna see a legend like Crawford get brain damaged and beat fighting a guy the size he should never be fighting. Reminder that Floyd fought a much smaller and inexperienced Canelo at a catchweight of 152 pounds.

Alvarez weighed 153,5 in the fight before Mayweather. A 1.5 pound difference.
But you want the money fighter in Canelo to drop 8 pounds to face an opponent?
That makes zero sense.
If Crawford wants this fight it needs to be at the full 168. Canelo is the A side in a big way. He is not giving up any advantages and should not

I agree, a full on 100%.

Canelo can't be going on any crazy crash diets, especially at this point in time.

He's no spring chicken anymore either. Not to mention, he's almost at 70 pro bouts. Many a tough bout in recent times as well.

People criticizing him for not fighting Benavidez need to think with proper perspective.

Canelo is 5'8 with a 70" reach. Benevidez is taller than Bivol, and probably stronger and more powerful than Bivol as well.

I'm sure that Canelo has a good knowledge of boxing history.
Enough to know that Bad Style bouts have always taken place, and they very rarely end well for the losing side.

Canelo and Crawford are both proverbial Businessman Boxers, who have both earned they're share of boxing who they choose to box and definitely yes to Canelo having the right to say Gtfoh to anyone who says that he Needs to box Crawford at 160 instead of 168, because, Wahhh, that's unfair to Bud.

Bud is more than Happy to be getting this bout granted onto him. Regardless of what weight class they box at.
He's The new Canelo Lottery Sweepstakes choice..!!
He knows all too Darn Well how big of a Bag he's getting from this bout.

How about 164 with no rehydration clause? Canelo could then claim that he made concessions and it was a fair fight. That still wouldn't be true, but some fans will buy that.

It's ALWAYS been that way.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And sorry but I'm not completely writing Crawford's chances off. I have him an underdog but He's freakishly strong & tough as fornicate.

I think he'll still be there after 12 rounds & will lose something like 8-4 or 7-5 with loads of people crying robbery because they predicted he'd be blown out :OhYes:

Canelo calls the shots at what weight he wants the fight. All the talk of him moving down to catch-weight with Bud is silly .. Canelo is more likely to insist the fight is made at lt-heavy than middleweight.

Both guys are similar height, but one is a slim build the other a tank.
