Welterweight contender Harlem Eubank is scheduled to return to the ring on March 7 in his hometown of Brighton, England, with Ireland’s Tyrone McKenna the current frontrunner to face him.
Eubank, who is now 20-0 (8 KOs) and trained by fireman Charlie Beatt, last boxed in November, scoring a scrappy eight-round points win over Frenchhman Nurali Erdogan.
That was his only contest in 2024, having stopped Timo Schwarzkopf in 11 rounds a year earlier.
The Schwarzkopf bout was at the Brighton Centre, where it is expected Eubank will return.
Eubank has previously called out Conor Benn, and last year it was announced the Wasserman-promoted Eubank would face the Boxxer-promoted Adam Azim. They even went head-to-head after their contest was ‘announced’ – without a date or venue – but the bout failed to materialize.
McKenna, 24-5-1 (7 KOs), is fresh off a thrilling win over Dylan Moran in Waterford in December.

Re: Harlem Eubank vs. Tyrone McKenna | CH5 - 7 March 2025
“This year, I want the big fights,” said Harlem Eubank, having announced he would be fighting Tyrone McKenna on March 7 in Brighton.
Boxing Scene said the fight was on tap last week, and it will be at the Brighton Centre, where Eubank defeated Timo Schwarzkopf in November 2023. He’s had one outing since, an eight-round win over Frenchman Nurali Erdogan in November.
“On March 7, back home at the Brighton Centre, live on Channel 5, I’m going to make a real statement at 147lbs,” said the 20-0 (8 KOs) Eubank.
“McKenna is a fan friendly, aggressive fighter who’s competed at the elite world level. It’s a real exciting fight, and that’s exactly what I’m in this game for.
“There’s also a rich history between the Eubanks and Irish fighters. On March 7, I’ll add a new chapter.”
Southpaw McKenna, who is 24-5-1 (7 KOs), said: “I am licking my lips at the prospect of going into Eubank’s hometown on March 7, meeting him in the middle of the ring, and going into battle.
“Harlem has never met anyone like me in his career, not even close, and when the leather starts flying, he will soon realise there’s no easy way out.
“I am one of the most entertaining fighters in Ireland, I have the heart of a lion, one of the best chins around and I am an absolute nightmare for Eubank.”
McKenna, 34, last fought in December, winning a two-round firefight over Dylan Moran in Waterford. In his career, he has lost big fights to Ohara Davies, Regis Prograis and Lewis Crocker.
Kalle Sauerland, Global Head of Boxing at Wasserman, said: “Hold onto your hats, ladies and gents, because Eubank vs. McKenna is going to be a wild ride!
“Eubank will have to prove he has the mettle to mix it and stand toe-to-toe in the centre of the ring, because McKenna is not backing down.
“But in front of his brilliant Brighton fans, we know Harlem has what it takes to issue a serious statement. But McKenna is live, and he is dangerous – just watch his last fight.”

It's not only about the win for Eubank this time. It's the perfect platform to convince the fans that he's worth tuning in to see...and he can mix it with the best in Europe, and maybe beyond.
McKenna is still a live opponent so Harlem would be a mug to waste this golden opportunity.

Good matchmaking I suppose. Harlem isn't ready for the step up. McKenna isn't a good fighter. He just traded off his toughness and heart which seem to have gone now that he seems to have lost desire.

I don't mind this fight per se but considering Harlem's been headlining on channel 5 for a couple years now he should've fought the likes of McKenna a year ago
The sooner channel 5 sack off Kalle the better

One or two moderately interesting fights down the bill, but I'd rather clean the oven than watch Harlem again

Conlan's physique is awesome. Perhaps the best I've seen him look.
Boxing-wise not so much..yet.

Boxing-wise, Mick appears to be suffering from a combination of ring rust snd being shot to bits. Will win but I'm think his future is behind him, sadly. Hope I'm wrong.

Conlan turning the screw in 6 of 8. Still glimpses of class and he's well ahead but I'm sticking to my guns that it's not just ring rust.
