Turki Alalshikh, owner of The Ring and head of Riyadh Season, took to social media on Monday and officially announced the three official bouts for the first Ring Magazine fight card in the United States.

It was also revealed that the upcoming card will be a collaboration between Ring Magazine and gaming company SNK. The show will be named after SNK's anticipated game release, Fatal Fury: City of The Wolves.

The event will take place on a date in May. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.

The main event will see a welterweight grudge match, as Ryan Garcia will return to the ring against former world champion Rolando 'Rolly' Romero.

In the co-feature, a battle of former unified world champions, as Devin Haney will return to the ring against battle-tested Jose Ramirez.

The third bout will be a showcase battle of heavyweight punchers, with Martin Bakole colliding with Efe Ajagba in an IBF final eliminator. The winner will get a world title crack at the winner of the upcoming clash between champion Daniel Dubois and challenger Joseph Parker, which takes place on February 22 in Saudi Arabia.

GARCIA-ROMERO, HANEY-RAMIREZ, LOPEZ-BARBOZA: 'FATAL FURY: CITY OF THE WOLVES' TRIPLEHEADER OFFICIAL FOR TIMES SQUARE

History will be made in New York City this spring as Ring Magazine brings a groundbreaking boxing event titled 'Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves' to Times Square!

For the first time ever, Times Square will be turned into a world-class boxing venue which will play host to a star-studded three-fight card on Friday, May 2.

The spectacle marks another unique collaboration with SNK, creators of the Fatal Fury gaming series. City of the Wolves is set to launch on April 24 for PS5, PS4, Xbox and PC.

The first Ring Magazine event, in association with SNK, will take place a week earlier on April 26 when Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England.

The May 2 event in New York, will also feature some of the most exciting talent in boxing today.

In the first fight of the night, WBO/The Ring junior-welterweight titleholder Teofimo Lopez (21-1, 13 KOs) will defend his titles against Arnold Barboza Jr (32-0, 11 KOs), who recently beat Chorley's Jack Catterall via split decision in Manchester.

The second bout will feature an intriguing welterweight bout between former undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney (31-0, 1 NC (15 KOs) and Jose Ramirez (29-2, 18 KOs).

In the main event of the night, Ryan Garcia (24-1-1 NC, 20 KOs) makes his return to the thing since his fight with Haney last May in New York City, as he faces Rolando Romero (16-2, 13 KOs) in a fight that both men have promised to finish inside the distance.

Boxing fans will have the opportunity to witness the monumental event on pay-per-view, ensuring those who aren't able to be at Times Square for the card can catch all the action from the comfort of their own homes.

Should they win their bouts, Garcia and Haney are expected to rematch later this year on a Riyadh Season card. Their first fight in April 2024 saw Garcia drop Haney three times en route to a unanimous decision victory in Brooklyn, New York.

The result has since been overturned, however, after Garcia failed a VADA test for the banned substance Ostarine. Back in the mix after a year-long suspension, and with his rivalry with Haney fiercer than ever, the pair will be desperate to win on May 2.

Lopez, on the other hand, could move on to a unification clash with IBF champion at 140 pounds Richardson Hitchins (19-0, 7 KOs), after signing a Riyadh Season deal himself, if he beats Barboza.
