15/Hwy, who wins?

It would somewhat resemble Joe Louis vs Billy Conn in that Tunney would be outboxing Joe Louis until all of sudden he isn't. It's possible he could outbox Louis the whole way through, but I'd lean toward Louis catching up to him, and knocking him out.

I thought the same and it would be similar to the first Louis vs. Conn fight, so it's Louis by KO 14.

Tough bout. Tunney had 20 pounds on Conn and was just plain better than Billy.I could see Tunney beating Louis on points.

Joe Louis would be fighting one of the smartest boxers ever in Gene Tunney. Tunney was a thinking man's fighter. He was just like Sugar Ray Leonard and Michael Spinks who had a strategy before and during the fight.

If there's a trilogy, Tunney wins the first fight by decision. It won't be surprising in my view. Louis was too slow afoot, especially with movers like Billy Conn and Tunney. Those types of boxers are the ones that give Louis the most trouble.

Louis wins the second time around by knockout because he was those types of boxers that adjusted in rematches.

Will Tunney accept a rubber match? Most likely not. He will leave as is.

Tunney could win here.
