As soon as I saw this I knew one day Haye would manage Chisora

It was a much better fight that I expected...it was no phoney war

Lots of pressure from Chisora, but eventually played right into Haye's counter punching. You don't often see Chisora blasted into orbit

I remember rhem showing extreme slow motion replays of the combination that ended it and each shot was bang on the button

That was a terrific win. Nice little fight that went 5 rounds.

I was at Upton Park that night. Crowd was very pro Haye, so much so that it still sticks with me that me and me mate were the only ones near us cheering for Chisora. How times have changed though as Chisora has gone on to be a fan favourite

When I saw the thread title - I thought it must have been Tyson's Fury's interview on Channel 5 - but that is now probably more than 12 years ago.

Vitali would have battered him too tough, and had a really good workrate for big heavyweight.

Say what you want about Haye, but he could really crack.

Smashed Chisora, like few others.....'He glussed me....', never gets old.

Edit - As well as launching the camera stand, clattering Booth, in the process.

Classic stuff.

Someone made a video in the lead up, it had a lot of only fools references but it showed slow mo’s and photos and Haye didn’t just crack Chisora and elbow him in the head a load of times but he also landed two huge shots on Don Charles who came at him, took the two shots and quickly backed off. It also clearly shows that it was indeed Haye who clattered Adam Booth over the head with a tripod by accident so I’ve always found it funny seeing interviews with Booth where he says he knows who did him over the head and it wasn’t Haye.

He leaves out a lot of detail. Seems to forget Haye banged Don Charles and fractured his jaw. And that it was Haye who bashed his own trainer with a very heavy tripod. The wound may have been superficial but Booth seemed concussed and was filmed saying nonsensical stuff to Chisora. These tripods are very solid. He also leaves out the fact that Chisora approached menacingly with another large man… who quickly backed off after Haye exploded. It was crazy. I mean lucky no one was badly hurt. Amazing no one was dropped either…. Haye looks extremely dangerous in a street fight. Bunce also forgot Haye dropped an elbow. I don’t even like to watch it’. It’s like watching a car crash. Thankfully no one was badly, badly hurt. TBH under the letter of the law, at least UK law Haye had every right to bang Chisora. Charles not so much.

Charles went after Haye, too, after Haye told them to, 'F*** Off'. Charles got what he deserved, tbh.

Haye was wrong to show up, as he was an opportunist, but Chisora, Charles and his mob tried to embarrass him and were being pretty disrespectful. Then they went up to him, thinking they were going to intimidate him.

Wrong. Haye may be many things but he was never a bottler.

Oh I didn’t realise Charles went for him. Just remember him getting a slap and losing his hat like Dimitry Salita against Dillian Whyte Haye is no bottler and a serious fighter in the ring or on the street

The Haye KO of chisora was his greatest performance at either weight

Rewatch his final fight vs Charr. Old, slow and wide open, chin up, left down by his knee. KO waiting to happen. Fighting strictly B level opponents preserved his unearned mystique.
