Is there a video clip of the fight online? I haven't seen it on the news yet.

No truth to the rumor that they're both being looked at as Calzaghe's next mandatory...

A cracking little fight, one of the best we've been treated to in the UK in some time - I believe the IBO lightweight title was on the line?
I'm sure I saw Frank W in the crowd.

"Boom Boom" Bowyer clearly took a slow starting "Dynamite" Dyer by surprise, with his opening windmill style attack. Though the headbut was clearly illegal, and the inexperienced ref should have at the very least deducted a point IMO.
I thought the promising Dyer showed a decent chin in there, coming back well with some fine looking flurries, though it's questionable how many actualy landed.
Bowyer nicked a close points win for me, and I'm looking forward to the rematch on the Tszyu/Hatton undercard.

I didn't agree with ringside view that they looked like two bald men fighting over a comb.

An absolute brilliant day for all Geordie haters. They were appalling, made mistakes all over the field and were denied two legitimate penalties.

The cock who saved the ball on the line showed himself up by outrageous play acting too.

Shearer - although a talented player undeniably - has the most mistaken public persona of any athlete I've ever seen. He is a whinging serial cheat, a typical dish-it-out-can't take it tosser. After the ref sent Bowyer off, Shearer shouted at him: "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

"I'll tell you what I'm doing, you fornicating silly prick. I'm sending off a player for head butting and punching one of his team mates. Oh, by the way, you are captain of this shambolic outfit."

Newcastle fans deserve all they get. Freddie Shepherd and Douglas Hall sat in a brothel on tape calling all the Geordie women dogs and taking the piss out of the fans saying how stupid they are paying £40 for 50p shirts. And Shepherd is still chairman instead of being drummed out of the city.

Kamara and McCaffrey on Sky this morning were simply laughing at the club, pointedly echoing public sentiment.

I can't stand Shearer either.

I remember his comment about the appointment of Souness (Now we have a man in charge who the players know is the manager or words to that effect). I was really angry he had the nerve to criticise such a nice old man as Bobby Robson.

Now they have an infinitely inferior manager which is what they deserve in addition to a prat of a chairman (Freddy Shepherd) and a team full of angry young men, play boys and one old past it whinger. (Bowyer, Bellamy, Dyer, Shearer and Robert. Kluivert and Jenas are playboys too apparently.)

Newcastle were one of my favourit teams under Keegan and Robson. Now I can't stand them and feel sorry for their supporters.

Sick of hearing about the same pratts over and over again. For anyone that missed it, here's a reconstruction:
