I checked this morning and josh paddy was ranked#25 in the world for lightweights and #3 for British lightweights. After it was confirmed that he'll be fighting Shakur Stevenson next, I checked again and they moved him down to #55 in the world, and #3 in great Britain. They want to down play him so Shakur Stevenson doesn't get credit for beating him. Racism in Boxing is so real it's sad. It reminds me of when Terence Crawford beat Israel Madrimov for the WBA super Welterweight title. They immediately removed the WBA title from all records and rankings on boxrec.

Did this fella take some kinda heavy blow to the head before posting this?

also boxrec has padley at 29, not 55

his change in rating is because he's now ranked in a different division than he was before

and boxrec dropped the white guy not the black guy, your point makes no sense. if boxrec were willing to manipulate the ratings they could just drop shakur himself if they didnt like him

Obviously Stevenson slapping around a last-minute replacement who hasn’t beaten anyone is a much bigger deal if they are ranked 29th, as opposed to 55th. Stop the Boxrec racism!

It's much easier to find a replacement for the heavies, no weight making involved but any boxer worth their salt should be ready to go whenever there's a big Turki card, short sighted if you dont

I think there is a bug that adversely affected Padley's ranking.

I suspect he should be around #20... (before Stevenson crushes him).
