Has always baffled me why this fight has got so little attention. You have never seen it, you should.

It was a great fight, with a lot of action.
It was an important fight in a historical sense. Had Young won, he would have been considered the WBC champion (when there were "only" two major organizations) and would talked about a lot more than he is.
It was a very close fight in which a lot of people thought that Young deserved.

Anyway, thought it would be a fun fight to talk about.

I gave it Young with a one-point advantage score. There were many close rounds, so basically it's an either-way-going fight. Norton was an A-side there, so it's not surprising, that he won in this situation.

Jimmy Young 145-142

After getting clearly outboxed over the first
4 rds, Norton looked to have found his rhythm with a sustained body attack
that really looked to be wearing down Young, but for some reason he appeared
to abandon it around the 10th and the momentum shifted back to Young
