When Mike Tyson fought Lennox Lewis, he'd been a pro for 17 years and was 35.. Lennox had been a pro 13 years and was 36. I remember at the time thinking that whilst it was still a huge fight, it was a money grab between two old fighters both past their bests, particularly Tyson.
By summer, Tyson Fury will have been a pro for almost 17 years and be 36. AJ will have been a pro for almost 12 years and be 35.
What goes around comes around, history repeats itself and there are always punters who will work all week and get drawn into watching a scrap at the weekend.
PS, when you compare the resumes of Tyson and Lewis with Fury and AJ you see how shocking things are now. Usyk is the only quality fighter on their records that wasn't ancient and held together with jubilee clips and super-glue (Wlad).

Last year alone, they raised £15 million for Unicef.
So at least it's a good cause.
