From Sports Network site:

"Top prospect Gary Young will fight Victor Baranov in Edinburgh on Friday night in what will be a decent test of his potential.

Baranov has taken on some of the best men in Europe during a career that has spanned more than 10 years, and is currently the Russian light-welterweight champion.

On these shores he has boxed Steve Murray, Bobby Vanzie, Ted Bami, and Jason Rowlands – for the WBU light-welterweight title – and has also faced Ivan Kirpa, Oktay Urkal and Shannon Taylor.

Young had been lined up to fight former Southern Area champion Brett James, but instead gets an equally hard test in the form of 37-year-old Baranov."

In his loss to Søren Søndergaard for the 140 EBU belt he suffered one of the most brutal knockouts that I have ever seen.
